We had no problem doing that in early December, sometimes a few hours after the one-hour window.

Speaking as a former attractions CM, we don't care if you miss your window, it's when you try to come early that we will stop you. Since you waited for your time, we will typically let you on unless there is an issue (such as your party has too many people or the line is really backed up).

My understanding is that the only place that really strictly enforces the window is Soarin'.

Soarin' is the one attraction where we got a FastPass and didn't use it until a few hours after the window. Both FP and SB lines were fairly long, but they let us in with just a quick glance at the FP ticket to make sure we weren't early.

I suppose it just depends on the CM working the FP line as to whether it's strictly enforced for Soarin' or other attractions as well.

The FastPass system at WDW are linked and if you get a fastpass at one FP attraction and left to get another one at a different park you'll get the same message like you would if you had gotten one in DHS instead of having one for Epcot. Depending on how busy the attraction is that you got your first FP at will determin when you'll be able to get another FP at another FP attraction. So if Space Mounain is busy there's a good chance that if you park hop to another park your going to have to wait until the time listed on the bottom of your FP ticket has passed. Even if it's just a 45 minute time frame between aquiring FP tickets you might end up having to wait to get another FP. Does that make sense?
