Re: Hat embroidery @ WDW
We got free ears from WDW in the mail. We won them as part of the Year of a Million Dreams contest. We send in a postcard for each of us everyday and finally Ralphie won some Dream ears. Then two days later, a flat padded envelope came for me and it was from WDW again and I won a Dream Lanyard with two pins on it. I would like to take the Dream ears to DL next trip and have Ralphie embroidered on them! :D:

Get those postcards in and you could win too! :p:

I doubt CM's are eligible ...

I sent in a few post cards on Saturday and have some more to put in the mail tomorrow (Tuesday). I need to restock so I can keep trying until I win something.

Heh -- we did the postcard thing back at the beginning of 2007, before we knew we'd be going to WDW during YOAMD, and my wife won a set of the dream ears. They came by mail back in February.
My older son wore them in Animal Kingdom on our recent trip, and as we were pulling past a load station on Kilimanjaro Safari (on Wallaby's truck, actually), one of the CM's there started yelling at him, "Woohoo! You won!"
She must have been a little taken aback by the confused looks on our faces. We won? What did we win? Oh, yeah, the hat. But that was months ago.
We never did see the Dream Squad during our four days at WDW (though our trip was still magical anyway!).

Wombat, you are driving me crazy with your trip report! Can't you post a little more at one time, please? I read each segment, which takes about 20 seconds, then I have to wait hours for another update. I want MORE, NOW! :D:
I know, I know, you're stretching it out to make it last awhile, but...but... what happens if I get hit by a truck tomorrow and can't read the rest of it? I would die not knowing how the rest of your trip went. AAARRGGHH!! :p:

Sorry, Whazzup! This is the longest I've taken to post a trip report, true -- but at the same time, it's the most detail I've ever written into it. Somehow the blog format is just bringing that out.Whazzup wrote:Wombat, you are driving me crazy with your trip report! Can't you post a little more at one time, please? Given that much detail -- and the fact that I have a job and family and such -- it's sometimes a struggle to keep up two segments a day! (FWIW, it's not like I've written the whole thing and am just dragging it out to torment you! I am writing it as I go, and I'm usually only one or two segments ahead of what I've posted.)
I'll pick up the pace when I can, but I can't promise much! Thanks for sticking with it!

Okay, as long as you're writing it as you go, I'll not bug you again. I thought you might have already written it and were just teasing us with little crumbs, instead of laying it all out like an all-you-can-eat buffet where we could gorge ourselves on your trip report. :p:BRWombat wrote:Sorry, Whazzup! And I suppose your family and your job do take some importance in your life, ;) so please continue to plod on with your TR, and we'll plod on behind you snatching up crumbs. :D:
