I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I always told myself that custodial does get paid extra. Seriously don't think there is any reasonable amount of money you could pay me to do that job. When I am doing something like cleaning the queue there is a noticeable difference in how the SGs treat me. Not that they are every necessarily nice to me lol but when you have to broom in your hand its suddenly alright for like 5 year old to insult you. So lots of love to everyone in custodial, god bless you for keeping your sanity.

That's a bit disturbing, I have to say.
Made me think of something... a friend of mine has been going up to people the last few days and asking if they're missing a laptop...

Reminds me of those disgusting stories that people in Costuming used to tell me about people returning their underwear with their costumes.

Hah! You're punny Darph!
I don't get the laptop thing. If they say yes, does he then sit on their laps?

(Forgive me, I was up all night being a geek with my roommate and it feels way too painfully early to be at work...)

Oh, sorry... the reason he does it is to make fun of some CM that was on the news because he left his laptop out, a manager found it, opened it and found some rather disturbing things on the laptop in such way you couldn't open the cover without finding it, from what I hear. Thankfully, this CM is no longer a CM, locked up, and they must have got him before he could hurt anyone, and all because the manager was trying to help out the laptop's owner.

I sometimes wonder what their bathrooms at home look like...
I once went after a snooty French lady, and asked her if she peed everywhere on the ground at home too.
And I am not even a CM :)
PS: she wasn't happy that I asked that in a loud voice. But she wasn't too embarrassed either.

I did custodial while on CP. I didn't get to choose roles because my major (Physical Therapy) was only eligible for custodial and fast food.
Anyway, during that summer I learned not only did custodial get paid the exact same as someone else in any other non-tipped role with the same seniority but that some guests are pure evil. A certain tour group from a certain country wouldn't squat over the seat but would in fact, stand over the toilet. We were thankful when it was merely urine and could not be classified as 'explosive'.
Soon after I found out CP didn't have to do restrooms. Happiest day of my summer!

Ewwwww...I don't think I am going to be eating lunch today...rermind me to skip this thread from now on. Loogie in the pool, floaters, yechhhhhh... :barf:
I feel for Custodial. Back in prehistoric times, I worked at Mickey D's as my first job and we had to clean the potties and that was just nasty. I cannot even imagine doing custodial at a place as large as WDW and deal with the bathroom habits of people from all over the world.

What a nightmare!

Never thought of it before, but this makes me grateful that in my stint in a fast food restaurant I didn't have to deal with this. My Church's Fried Chicken didn't have a public restroom. (We did have to cut our own chicken back then, though. Nothing like standing in a 34-degree cooler speed-cutting cold, wet, slippery raw chicken with a circular saw!)
