I can understand Disney's problem with advertising. They have tons of stuff they can advertise, sell merchandise, improve areas with and give guests a wide variety of stuff. Where to do you put Baby Einstein for example? AK MK or EPCOT? Would a Baby Einstein show really work in EPCOT for example.
When was it the golden years of Hollywood? I know clear back in 1998 it was not all Hollywood. Currently there are .
On the left is Al's Toy Barn, Indy, Star Tours and the lake which have nothing to do with Hollywood's Golden days.
On the right there is Beauty and the Beast, Tower of Terror, Fantasmic, Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney.
In the back is the backlots and facade street sceens along with the studios. HISTA, Muppets, Sounds Dangerous, Hunchback which is gone, Millionaire which is gone, and the animation tour.
None of that was MGM or related to the "Golden Era" of movies. The only attraction that was directly tied to the "Golden Ear" of movies is Great Movie Ride. Everything is supposed to be tied to media of some sort like movies and television but nowhere other than in the main street at the beginning of the park do you see the Golden Era of movies or anything closely related to the great movies of the past.
