I never got a complaint...........or compliment, but I heard that complaints get to you faster then a compliment does, why is that???
Eh, I guess it makes people feel better to vent.... though if I need to go to GR and complain, I think it's serious. *shrug*
I do hope the compliments make their way through! If not, I'll need to find another channel to communicate my props.

You can use the monorail at Downtown Disney and arrive at the same time as the first wave of people from the front gate. Take a disabled friend along if you do not like waiting. The boards usually are the best place to find out about wait times as they want everyone to know how much they suffered at the hands of Disney.
This couldn't have been intended for the Nemo thread, could it? :)

F!Dan, you are right. :) GRs evaluate many complaints on the spot & they are torn, thrown away after the SG leaves. Depends on the situation, level of SG's anger, verbal abuse, if their story goes on & on, how believable it is, & a host of other issues. GR is usually pretty good at sorting out the crap. I do a lot of lost & found @ City Hall & overhear more than I should.

Managers are called first if GR feels there is a problem which needs to be addressed. GR does make mistakes but I "think" they are on the side of CMs. Remember, they are usually the last CMs to deal with SG. Their job is really full of stress.

Complaints - when valid - are always priority. Safety concerns, poor CM interaction, theft, falls, & you name it - complaints must take priority. The location & CM has to be notified at once in case there is really a problem. Hope this makes sense. You should have gotten many compliments. You were a GREAT CM!

You know the park inside & out, & you have so much Disney info to share. :mickey: OPS, 4 got the Cliffnote version. ;)

Yes it was and I was wondering where I put that. Do you know where my car keys are as well as a pair of new slippers?

Wait until I start posting about religion, dogs, sims, and Australian weather. At least I got the right board, this time.
I do not recall reporting a CM but one time did put in a complement which helped a CM who was reported. He made a joke about the dinosaurs at the end of the train ride in DL. Something about the last scene being the Jerry Springer show and eating someone's momma if I remember right. He was cute as a button, looked like Nathan Lane and did a good Nathan Lane impression.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but rather than stop by Guest Relations each day of our trip, I just kept good notes and then after I returned home sent a letter will all of the compliments, being sure to note the CM's name, location & time of day, and what they specifically did that was so magical. Of course, I can't know for sure that the compliments found their way to each CM's file, but we got a call from GR the week after the letter was sent saying that each CM and their managers were being sent a copy.

What if a character does something extra special to make you happy and you want to make sure that character gets a reward from Disney ? During my last trip Perla Mouse and Minnie Mouse both did something very special to make me extra happy, so I went to Guest Relations and told them about it and they gave me one of those forms :)
I was not sure what to say on the form. The first time I went to Guest Relations the girl gave me a form and I just said Perla Mouse made me extra happy and I told them where she was at the time and this and that. The girl also gave me a card with an email address and she said I could email disney about this. When I went back the next time I got the same form and it happend to be the same girl at Guest Relations :)

With characters especially (but also others) it's important to give not only the exact location but the exact time as well. Those who work with characters often work in pairs, alternating every 20 minutes or so, so knowing the time is required to get the compliment to the right cm.
