I thought I read somewhere that Lucas said he was on board with doing a new Star Tours movie for Disney, but he has been busy with Star Wars, and now the next Indy movie. He likes to have his hands in all things Star Wars, so who knows when it will happen, soon I hope!

A few thoughts...

Don't close Big Thunder Ranch-it's what keeping my best friend employed! :D:

I would watch the Enchanted Tiki Room at DL if they would bring the MK version with Zazu and Iago!

How about a "Ink and Paint Club" sit-down restaurant in Toontown?

Tearing down Matterhorn will never happen. The structure is iconic. Besides, I think the Matterhorn and the Sub Lagoon are linked. The main reason for re-opening the subs in the first place is because they can't take out the lagoon. The Matterhorn would sink if they did!

I love Star Tours, but the ride needs a major re-hab. It doesn't seem to be as jolting and jarring as they used to be. I think the theming should stay. I am not sure about the speils. I don't think Star Tours will ever be in danger of completly going away because the merchandise from the ride is popular.

On the subject of merchandise, there is something that needs a major re-do! I am tired of seeing the same stuff in every store. I miss the DCA-specific items. They were really nice, esp. the plush. Now the stores have the same stuff as DL.

I would like to see Big Thunder Ranch turned into a picnic area and educational area. A nice restaurant with lots of good food would be nice. Not sure about a petting zoo as that is insurance and problems. The last time I had dinner was nice there and it was a good music, lot of places for kids to run around, good food, and not to costly.

By cheap I mean like $10 before drinks and tips. I miss the restaurants in parks. I mean go in like the old days and see a show and eat polynesian food. Am I alone in remembering so many places to eat at the parks.

DCA plush bears are adorable. Merchandising is a bit mundane. DCA was in sad need of bulldozing and rebuilding. I do miss the onion rings and burgers next to Soarin', drat that celiac.

No you're not. I can remember eating tuna fish sandwiches on Captian Hook's boat and the Tahitian Terrace was a family favorite. I really miss the Town Square Cafe and the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor. (Thanks Pressler.) I used to love eating at the Hungrey Bear, but I don't think the food is as good as it used to be. Now I like to eat at the Bengal BBQ and at Red Rocket's Pizza Port. If I am lucky, sometimes I get to eat at the Blue Bayou.

I just remembered another great DL resturant that is no longer here. The Monerail Cafe at the DL Hotel. Ah memories. It was a great place to stop for lunch during a busy day at DL or dinner right before going in for an AP event.

I say, get rid of Pooh, bring back People Mover, get rid of HISTA, get a better 3D show, move Astro on top of the People mover, an updated Star Tours movie, fix the leaky roof of HISTA, a better show for Muppets, keep Bugs, a better Toontown, and a better use for the Innovention building.

Have no idea how true that is, or WDI is just waiting for the green light.
I guess the rumor never came true or hasn't yet about a new Star Tours film for the shitty YOMD.

Also never came true was the planned new film every 3-5 years when Star Tours first opened. They were supposed to be new "tours" to other planets.

If I made Star Tours, I would have made 3 films at opening and have them play randomly. So when you got on the ride, you didn't know to which planet you were traveling to until it started.

I just read that Anthony Daniels, who plays C-3PO made comments at a comic book convention that he had just finished filming an update for Star Tours. (Star Tours 2.0) I love Star Tours but I do agree its time for an update. To stay ahead in theme parks these days you must offer dynamic attractions and Star Tours, like Soarin are attractions this can be done easily with. The Star Wars universe offers so many opertunities for very cool adventures, I dont see whay they dont offer several, half dozen at least, different films for this attraction. This would improve the ridability so much.

What will "Senator" Ed do?
They could always close DCA and put in a parking lot....
