"Ralphie" is in the movie "Elf" with Will Farrell too, playing one of the elves.

I think it's TBS that does the marathon. It plays on a TV in our house from the first showing to the last! This movie, "Christmas Vacation," and the Allistar Sim version of "A Christmas Carol" are my three all-time favorite Christmas classics. And out of the old Rankin Bass cartoons, NOTHING beats Snow Miser! I really miss the days when they had a piano player at Brown Derby in Disney MGM. At the holidays, he always played the Heat Miser/Snow Miser theme. It was a tradition for us to have dinner there at that time of the year.

Actually your right about TBS, I got that and the Twilight Zone marathon mixed up (stupid cable channels!)

I was in right aid last night and the are selling replicas of the lag lamp. They're smaller versions but still cool. One is the size of a night light. I think that I'm going to buy one.

We went on the backstage tour of the Universal haunted houses yesterday, and in their Christmas-themed house there was an evil version of the leg lamp. It was awesome! When Mr. Syndrome gets the photos off the camera, I will post a pic.

I just got some "christmas" catalogs, and one of them has both sizes. the "small" desk lamp size, and the FULL size "A major award!" I tried to convince DW we should get the big one for the front window, but her reaction was not unlike that of the movie!
