Yeah :) This was also when you could hop on and off. I hooked her up with Cindy's horse and promised her I'd be right back. Then once it had gone around once I popped up right in that section and rose along with her. Then her dad took a picture of both of us before they stepped off the ride.

I've really had many great guests, too many to recall. The Chicago AP couple during the 50th when I had a long line was fantastic! We were talking, laughing & discussing Chicago history as I rang them up. I'd seen their AP card so made mental note to hit discount code. Double wrapped then bubble wrapped & bagged their items for the plane. Did the entire CC transaction then thanked them. Suddenly I remembered in horror I'd forgotten their AP discount. Who's stupid now? 
I called the couple back & told them my error, & of course apologized. I was so positive they'd be upset. The man stated meeting me was such a pleasure his AP discount didn't matter. The wife hugged me telling me she'd be staying on property all summer & would bring her childern to met me. I almost floated off stage after my shift. Have no idea how this family ever found me but they'd come to visit & purchase from me at least 3 xs per week. We still keep in touch via E mail. Yes, there are guests - even APs -from Heaven who are never forgotten. :)

Children make me so happy that I worked for Disney. They can really make your day. Once time at HISTA, I was out at Exit when a mother and her younger daughter were exiting during one of the shows because the little girl was crying. So, I reached in my pocket and handed her an "Honorary Citizen" stickers to the little girl and told her it was o k. After she took it, the mother told her to give me a kiss on the cheek and the girl did. It made my heart warm felt. All that just because a little sticker!! :D:

It's comforting to know that there are still some decent guests out there... if only a few.
I just have a quick question: If I wish to not be a bother (and hopefully, though doubtfully, make someone's day), what is the best way to approach characters? With excitement and much to-do making, or with a calm demeanor? In other words, which way do you prefer to be greeted; quietly, as though we've met before, or with a bit of squealing and cooing and 'I've been waiting to meet you for months!'? Since all of you have to deal with idiot guests most of the day, the least I can do is be polite and treat you the way you wish to be treated, aye?
Thank you for standing us guests. I'll try my very best not to be an SG when I come visit (though I can't promise anything about excessive cooing and hyper squealing).

My idea to approaching a character ,would be to wait my turn,then ask politely "can I get a photo with you?" Kinda like asking mainstreeter for a dance.

Great answer to Mad Kat darph. :) For once you got something correct. :D: :D: Approach the character calmly, happily, & don't hug tightly - if at all. After the photo always thank the character before you leave. Can't go wrong when using thoughtful guest skills.

Yay!! Dancing, dancing, dancing..I would dance with Main Streeter anytime! How about down to New Orleans Square where we can hear that excellent band that throws the beads. ( can't remember the name for the life of me, Jack would kill me ;) ) The singer they have with them now is so incredible. She's a perfect addition!
