Ew.
(Okay, the board won't let me post just a 3-character reply, so: Ew. Ew. Ew.

This kind of stuff I just don't flippin' get. What is it that happens in your head that says, "hey, I have used enough brain cells for the day, let's just switch it off for the next 8 hours. Common sense, what are you talking about?" If someone went to that lady's house and spilled soda all over her brand new couch, you bet she would be pissed. It is getting worse too. When I went to Halloween Haunt this year, both times the bathrooms were just gross. And it's not because it's Knott's either. The poor girl in there was busting her ass to keep it clean. But these bitches would walk right past her and throw their trash on the ground.
I made sure to wipe down my sink and counter area when I was done. She saw me and said thank you. I told her I only wish I could do more like smack a few folks in the back of the head when they looked like they were going to do something stupid. She started to laugh and told me I made her night.
^^ Hey, that's me! ^^

Don't even get me started on dirty restrooms. I am currently employed at an Arby's near my house and we had some lady come into the restroom and use the side of the toilet instead of the bowl. Lucky me I was leaving as we heard about, but I feel sorry for who ever did clean up.
We always get trays left on tables, or piles of garbage, or better yet sauces spread all over the tables. I know these people can't be like this at home and, sometimes it seems intentional, only make these messes because they don't "HAVE" to clean it up.
SG: Go ahead junior make as big a mess as you want.
Junior: Won't you make me clean it up like at home?
SG: Of course not these people have nothing better to do than clean up your messes, it's what the are paid to do.
Come on people, no matter which door you leave through there are two cans on your way out.
And then there are the people who rearrange the tables and refuse to put them back. It is okay with me if you move the tables just please put them back, and DON'T BLOCK THE PATH WITH THEM.
The worst part is, the busier we are the messier the SG's seem to get.

You know, I've noticed the same thing only with guests needing special assistance~ mainly wheelchairs. The busier the attraction is, the more wheelchairs we have. Nothing against them though....eh I'll save the rest of this rant for another day...
Yes, I hate careless people. My mom can sometimes be very careless especially at resturaunts, and I have to "remind" her that the wait staff and busboys are people too. I know I treat every wait staff I encounter with the same respect I'd give to anyone else. It's hard to place orders at quick service foods or ask for special orders without sounding condescending, so I often say a couple extra 'thank yous'.

I have heard that exact convo between a mom and her kids when I was at a Burger King last week. The kids were going to pick up their trash and she got all pissed, "What are you doing? That's what these dumb teenagers get paid for. Let them earn their minimum wage and leave it there." Let me tell you, I got so mad. I walked over to her and said, "Excuse me, can I ask you a question?" She looked at me all annoyed and said "What?" "Did you make this meal for your children and yourself?" "You know I didn't. That's why I'm here." "Then you know those hardworking teenagers did their job already for you and the "least" you could do is help them out by picking up after yourself." "What are you, the Burger King mascot?" "No, just someone who "does" appreciate how difficult it is to work in a foodservice job." "Oh, one of those people." "Yes, and one day soon, one of your kids may have a job like this. I don't think you would treat them like that. Every one of those kids is someone's son or daughter. Imagine they are yours next time."
By this time, her kids had cleared off the table and started to argue with their mom, not me. They took my side in cleaning up and how rude she was being. She got an ashamed look on her face after she realized what her kids had done while she was being rude towards me but she just stomped out, her kids still giving her the third degree..
Maybe she'll listen to her kids and be a better parent. Dad must have worked on their manners because it wasn't from her. Way to go, kiddos!!
