Cast Member Appreciation
Cast Member Appreciation
I am a long time lurker here and this is my first post. Just got back from a week trip to WDW and I have to thank all of the cast members there. You guys take so much abuse from guests and still do a great job. I want to thank all of you for being so nice and helpful, and for making my vacation so much fun. Everyone one of you that I came in contact with was helpful and nice and always seemed to be having fun with your job. Especially bus driver Dave. Thank you so much for getting us to breakfast last Sunday morning and all of the helpful hints that you gave us, they really came in handy! Thank you so much for making our trip to magical, and can't wait to come back again. I can understand your frustration with people who just don't seem to understand "No flash photography"!! People seem to get more and more rude every year. And for the woman (guest) at the bus stop complaining about the buses taking so much time loading wheelchairs and ECV's...I can only hope that you don't need one someday. If you are going to complain about having to wait in line, use a FASTPASS and don't whine about those of us who do that cut in line ahead of you. Great job cast members, keep up the good work!!

Hi deb4him40 and
to SGT after lurking for so long. Don't you just love "our" cast members? Without them, WDW and DL would be like.... Six Flags or.... Knotts Berry Farm or..... well, they just wouldn't be the wonderful places they are. It's the PEOPLE who work there that make the difference, or at least a LOT of the difference.

I agree with Wuzzup! It's the staff that makes the parks so great. When my friend and I went in September, our curse of bad service was finally consistently broken (no matter where we were or what we did, anywhere in the country...). Heck, when we were wearing our "I'm Celebrating!" buttons, one off-duty Contemporary CM asked us what we were celebrating. We said my friend's upcoming birthday (it was the next day, but we were going home) and my upcoming surgery, or life past surgery, and the CM offered to run a 5k with me when I was healed. How fun is that?! :)

Far be it from me to interrupt this agreement train on it's journey, so I agree CMs are what make it so great, and I agree, you'll fit right in, and I also agree that you are welcome here. Have a warm* welcome from the resident dragon.
*Warm in this case is extremely objective and you might find it rather hot, what with the fire and all.

Sorry, but I'm not really into wombats or wallabies, though there is a nice pangolin I have had my eyes on who, unfortunately, already has a boyfriend.BRWombat wrote:Those of us non-cast members here love our CM's, so you're a very welcome addition here, deb4him40!!*

Okaaaay, Lasolimu, now I'm officially a little worried about you. ;)Lasolimu wrote: Sorry, but I'm not really into wombats or wallabies, though there is a nice pangolin I have had my eyes on who, unfortunately, already has a boyfriend.
I had to Goggle pangolin and watch the video of it using its rather ferocious claws to dig into an ant bed. I wonder if they eat fire ants. Sure could use some of them here to keep the ants under control. What a strange looking creature - like an artichoke with legs.

When I was at WDW in Oct. one of the old transportation supervisors now works for Disney's All Star-Music Resort. His name is Doug. He did a great job getting our room assigned to us and let us get our room early. Thanks for the help, I hope to be visiting in a few years. :)

I think I'll also take that advice and not ask, but not because of the advice. ;)Zazu wrote:Wombat, free advice: Don't ask me.
