Craziest Weekend Ever (and its all my fault) **long story**

Post by Woof » Mon Dec 06, 2004 4:11 am

So it started out with two ladies smoking at the marquee at indiana jones yesterday. I told them that the nearest smoking area is at the rivers of america. They asked me if they would be kicked out if they didn't listen. I said yes, and they said well go for it. so i picked up a ride phone and they were all like "wait wait, its out. I put it out!"

Then people were screaming at me at temple entrance because i couldn't let them in and they were saying that its all my fault. They told me to stop fastpass and let them in and I said I can't stop fastpass. about 15 people were yelling at me there and people were calling me names from the digs bellow, even after i explained why i have to do it.

Later that night, I was at the unload dock talking to these costumed APs. They said they needed to use the elevator and I was more than willing to oblige. "but first," one said "i need to use the restroom." I told him the bathrooms were outside, and he smiled and waltzed right backstage to the castmember bathrooms. so they obviously know the tricks at indy. I ignored it and joined them in the elevator so I could get to tower. They were pretty nice, and I waved goodbye from tower. but the minute they entered the temple i noticed one in the cape waving his arms strangly and standing up! so i watched his car on the monitors and when I was saw that he was standing I hit the ride stop (which flung him forward onto the guest in front of him). He sat down and when security got there he was escorted out.

Then i saw him back today and I hid.

So tonight, these people were jumping the line at bamboo canyon, and i made them leave, two people however walked away from me into the ride. I sent a CM friend to go get them. He ended up folding and letting them go, but I stoped them at unload and told them to wait, he then said "i said they could stay" so I said ok. But that wasn't really fair to the people i kicked out. Then I was bumped to greeter and there was a lost child. soon the lady who ignored my instructions to leave walked out and the kid said "grandma!" she was like "what are you doing outside? wheres grampa?" and my fellow CM informed her that he was lost and had been here for ten minutes. then she starting screaming
"why it was all that guy! listen! I need to talk with your boss, that asshole inside was harassing us and BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!"
Somehow, without any explaination, she simple stated that the guy inside made her loose her grandson. Shortly after this one guy in her party pointed at me (who was standing there the whole time) and said "hey, isn't that him?" and she was like

"YYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!" with index finger extended kind of like invader ZIM.

"look what you did! you made this whole mess!! its all your fault!!! This poor boy was out here all alone this whole time. Look how scared he is. HE'S CRYING!!!!" (btw, he was actually having fun and talking with us before they got there. and he starting crying when she started yelling)

so they weren't watching thier kid. they were jumping the line. AND ITS ALL MY FAULT. My lead came out and appologized for my actions and said he'd talk to me. She felt a little better and left, and the one girl in her party who remained silent the whole time turned and said "im sorry" and my fellow CM and I smiled and said "its ok."

some other guest who was listening came up to use before going into the line and jokingly said "I LOST MY HUSBAND AND GRANDSON AND ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!" and we all laughed together....

thank god for guests like the silent girl and the joking guy, if it weren't for them id go crazy. Whoever you guys are I LOVE YOU!!!

I love guests like that. I still remember the one who came up to me after another guest had told me I was fired and said, "what a dick."

My Fun Guest Story

Post by shorty1219 » Mon Dec 06, 2004 1:13 pm

When I first hired in, I had to work an Emporium closing shift- so I wasn't happy in the first place. It was around midnight and my break time. So I closed my line. This female (who was of Spanish decent) came up to my counter with mugs and I informed her that I just closed my line but anyone else would be happy to help her. So she stormed off into another line. Right behind her, these college aged guys were buying 2 postcards. I thought I could be able to ring them fast and then go to my lunch. (BIG MISTAKE). The spanish lady (who was yelling at her sons at this point) saw me ringing the postcards, and she went off. I don't remember much of what she said, but I remember one thing. She said I didn't help her because she wasn't white. OK, that was it. If you know me, I'm not a serious guy. When I get stressed out, I laugh...it just happens. So I started to laugh at the situation. The guys I was helping started to jump in to defend me by saying "No, he didn't help you cuz you're a bitch...etc." I smiled at them and told them "Thank you, but you don't need to help." I still had a big ol' grin on my face. She said "Look, he thinks it's funny!!!" My lead came out and told me to go to lunch. When I got back from lunch I had a meeting with my lead. Apparently she went to City Hall to complain, but she didn't write it down on a complaint form, so it's not on my record. That was the first of like 3 nights I had to close Emporium. So I was not looking forward to going back there at all.

Whoa! What a bad time. I've not heard anything worse.

I heard a story one, though, that might make you smile. I don't know if this is true, it was passed on to me.

Apparently it took place at the entrance to BTM, where the height checker is. As you know, the line starts way back up the trail (on busy days) but you can walk right up to that height checker and see if your rugrat is tall enough. Anyway, a 'guest' (emphasis added, since no one ever INVITES these assholes into the park), was in line and when he got up to the CM checking heights, he was informed that his son wasn't tall enough. Well, honest mistake for the guest as he could have come from the other direction, tho how he'd know it was BTM unless he walked further and looked, is anybody's guess. When the CM told him his son couldn't ride, he did the usual, "C'mon buddy... he'll be okay..." kind of thing, then the argument, then started verbally abusing the CM, challenging him to a fight and generally getting very disagreeble.

Anyway, then (according to the story), another guest, this one the size of an NFL linebacker, stepped out of the line, walked up behind Mr. Disagreeable Guest, looked over Mr. Guest's head, and said to the CM, "Excuse me; if this guy's giving you trouble, I'll be glad to kick his ass for you."

Mr. Disagreeable whirled around, looked at Mr. Imminent Death, and FLED. Grabbed his son and beat it out of there so fast that he probably left Bugs Bunny trails in mid air when he left.

The story concludes that the nice guest who offered help to the hapless CM was backdoored on BTM immediately.

Maybe I saw you GMC, I was at the party tonight, and I went on Indy. Went fairly early and everytime I went by later it was down. :( One must of been a cycle out though, cause we got off the ride, the line was much shorter so I'm thinking that maybe we'll go again. I get outside and the line was roped off, so that explained why it was so short, but no break down spiel went off, so probably a cycle out.

BTW, that was my first time with the new snake, I like him. Did he get a new name or just recycle the name from the old snake?

we had two cycle outs and a zone 34 timeout (auto ride stop) i was there from about 8:00 onwards. i was out front for the 2nd and third downtimes, but not the entire time. if you saw me i was probly running around looking important (i had a lot of senority at the temple this evening.) anyway, if you walked by towards the end of the night when we were broken down (until park closing) and an archeologist said some themed goodbye it was me (have a good night advenutrers... and such.)

Well, I did go by at the end of the night, but I didn't hear anyone say a themed goodbye. I did talk to one guy though, maybe that was you. I was like 'you're down' he said 'yeah' I asked 'still or again?' and he said 'again we've been up, then down, up, then down' I don't remember how many times, but I got the point. Does that sound familiar, was it you?

So Indy never did re-open after that last 101? I was at Tower at Mansion when I heard the call go over the radio and remember thinking that we were going to get mobbed. :)

Also Monday night of the cast party was good times. I had my first evac. It was due to a fault on the unload belt. Good times...

no we never did come back up... it was sad, andwhat makes me more sad, is that you got to evac the mansion, but i didn't get to evac, or even really participate in any of our downtimes. other than being out front.
