With regards to the question of Pink and Purple, I have changed my mind. I want this one to be Pink and I want the twelfth train to be Purple. I really miss having Purple on the beam. It was always such a wonderful color, and it is Walt's favorite color.

At first, my gut reaction was to like them retiring the colors, but now I don't. If Green was involved in something bad, I would want it to come back as itself. That is my train, and that train and I have a lot of history together. When they retire the Mk VI trains, I am putting Green in my back yard around the pool that will be there by then.

Just the musings of a current pilot. I understand that many do not feel the same way.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I think there are maybe about 4 people out there that will understand that joke. Still laughing about it 5 mins after reading that.

No no no, Monorail Plaid would have super-dark tinted windows and a sound-proof compartment for the tour guide to ride with the monorail pilot and make fun of their tour guests. And food. Lots of food.

I don't get the Walt and his color joke, But "IF" they did bring back Purple, maybe they could use a color shifting paint. As it goes/drive by,the stripe could read,"In Honor of The Fallen". Just a thought.

That's my hubby's video. :) We may have gotten a brief shot of painted Teal yesterday, as it was hanging out of the bay, but I haven't scanned the video yet to see if it's visible well enough to post. It is very pretty, however.

I, too, would have been okay with leaving them as pink and purple. Honestly, I feel like it hurts a bit to lose those two "princess-y" colors, but I can understand the desire to retire the colors out of respect.
