Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Pass Blackout Date Changes

Post by glendalais » Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:37 pm

The Disneyland Resort in California, as part of the Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort Special Event, has introduced several new Halloween-themed offerings for their Guests, such as Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy and the Halloween Screams Fireworks Spectacular. These new experiences are proving to be very popular with their Guests.

As the popularity of these offerings is expected to grow, and in order to ensure the best possible Guest Experience, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has made alterations to the 2009 Blackout Dates for Disneyland Resort Cast Member ID Cards, as well as all Main Entrance and Silver Main Entrance Passes.

The following dates are now Blocked Out for Cast Member Complimentary Entry:
  • Friday, 9 October
  • Friday, 16 October
  • Friday, 23 October
  • Friday, 30 October
  • Saturday, 31 October
Disneyland Resort Cast Members may not use their Cast Member ID Cards for entry on these dates. In addition, Cast Members, Employees and Operating Participants of The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies may not use their Main Entrance or Silver Passes to sign themselves or their Guests into a Disneyland Resort Theme Park.

Previously issued Cast Complimentary Tickets may be used, but are subject to the same capacity limits as all other tickets.

Please note that this Blockout applies to both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park

That sucks!

I know that there are times at WDW where the maingate is blacked out but I don't think I have ever seen a CM on a company ID actually blacked out.

AFAIK they never black out cast IDs, only Maingates here. The dates that are blacked out on Maingates are usually dates no cast member in their right mind would go anywhere near property if they are off anyway even though they could get into a park.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

You'd be surprised my friend. When I worked Turnstiles, the number of CMs that would try to use their maingates during blockout times was pretty high. Even had a few try to argue that it shouldn't be a blockout date.

Hey just as long as they don't do a blockout any further than that. I'm coming out there November 11th-15th. And most of you remember my Rants for the Masses thing I started....Don't make me add Disneyland to it.

But it's small world holiday, so it fits the theme of your visit. :p:
