Monorail Teal

Post by Monorail_Red » Thu Oct 15, 2009 5:15 pm

It was officially announced today that an 11th monorail will come into service later this fall using a combination of the undamaged cars of Pink & Purple.

The new color will be Monorail Teal.

Train 12 will come into service next year.

Why would they want to use the parts of the monorails that were not damaged? I thought they took them out and retired the broke monorails?

1) They use the parts that were not damaged as it takes too much to make the damaged parts work again.

2) Cheaper to re-use parts than build/buy a new one.

I think it is fitting they retired pink/purple. I hope 'Teal' serves the CM's and the guests well.

The colors will be retired, not the actual trains. They made one working train out of a combination of undamaged cars from Pink & Purple, and "Train 11" will become Monorail Teal. Therefore "Train 12" will need the actual repairs.

I did this quickly in MS paint just to get a rough idea of what Monorail Teal will look like. I presume it will have the white deltas like Lime and Coral.
