Dear SGs, Deodorant is NOT Optional! Just Back With A Lot oF SGTs!

I just had a weird off thought. Why can't the glow vendors at DL sell the deodorant? They could have it in a nice flashy package that glows in the dark?

I should request that to Rob when I see him. I believe he works tonight. I will hopefully find him in the park. The plastic balloon weights can hold down a balloon, but the deodorant can double the use. A large balloon weight and extra protection for those who need to be refreshed. See ya later. :)

Had a couple of stinky guests on our trip 09/29-10/13 but the worst was the bus where the people around me stank of poop... and the bus wasn't busy so it was either the woman a seat over from me of the kids opposite... I dunno, it was rank.

In my lunch box I keep a mini stick of deodorant in a bag incase I need more protection. M sister does that too, but leaves it in her purse.

Your fellow guests thank you. ;)
Its very easy to tell those guests who have spent a long hot day at the park and are not at their freshest from those who didn't start fresh in the first place. Last trip I got into a very funny conversation with another guest waiting for the fireworks about how to suggest that some need to tour during one of Florida's rain showers.

Rather than making a new thread I'm bumping this one.
Last week we had some guest in the faeries room and wow... the smell was so strong that it had other guest gagging. Never mind deodorant these people needed to be introduced to water and soap. The woman in front of them was so sick she let them ahead because she couldn't handle them no longer. Her kids had the faces stuff in their shirts trying to somewhat stifle the smell. They were our last before the change of season and the smell permeated thru the entire room. When they open the doors it leaked thru the loading area and then the holding area. It was so bad we had to wait to get some kind of Febreze to help out. When I went back in the line to get people the first lady in line flat out ask me loudly if those people where gone because if they weren't she was going to wait. That is not something you hear everyday there.
Dear guest please, not only use deodorant, but showers are also required. Oh and BTW some of the bigger stores should sell deodorants and other basic necessities. At least they use too, don't know if they still do.

We had that happen once in a flight. I took out my perfume and the lady sitting next to me, a total stranger, snatched out of my hands and proceeded to pour some on her handkerchief. Then gave it back and proceeded to apologize for her rudeness, and offer to pay for using it. I declined, we were all desperate.Stripes wrote:I so wish Spirit would do this! Our last flight to WDW there were several fragrant flyers but there was one that prompted a flight attendant to break out the Febreeze. She went down the aisle, concentrated on the area around the offender and then left the bottle with the F/A covering that portion of the plane. We were all quite grateful for her efforts. :)

EEW!
I usually will go back to the room midday to take a nap or go swimming, or just to get off my feet. I don't go back to the park before I take a long shower. In fact, part of my Disney ritual is to head straight to Basin at DTD once I get settled in and get some nice smelling bath stuff.
It's a win-win...I get a nice relaxing shower midday, and I'm clean and fresh so as to be polite to other guests.
Someone posted earlier about geeks and their lack of showering. I go to Trek cons, and darn, are they right. Some people you want to throw a net over and drag them to the pool with an industrial size bottle of soap. Dude, didn't get a room? Ask your friends for 30 minutes in their room. I won't deny a smelly friend a shower.
I wonder if they just can't smell themselves. They're so used to the funk, they can't figure out why there's a trail of passed out people around them at all times.
I think Disney security should be able to take someone aside and mention that they may want to apply some deodorant, or perhaps take a small trip back to their hotel.

And as to the smelly park guests - folks EVERY hotel provides you with soap. USE IT. They will bring you more every day.

Uncle Yo, the Otaku Comedian, has a whole bit about "Con-Stench" in his stand up routine. It's pretty funny.
