Why do they push on the GATES???????
I just needed to vent. It is really, really getting annoying :x The gates are trying to close so, logically, you back up if they are hitting you. Apparently NOT at Disneyland. No no, the gates are trying to close so I am going to PUSH them open because.... :?: They wanted to cause an auto station stop? It's great when I open and close the gates repeatedly and the guest just looks at them. One of these days I am just going to go off on someone. Maybe the gates should have spikes  I bet they would back up for that.

That would be wishful thinking, but if there were spikes on them they would just stand there and still try to keep them open.cheshire wrote:Maybe the gates should have spikes  I bet they would back up for that.

Back when I worked for a smaller 'amusement park' company I would have people stand just inside the ride blocking the gates, or better yet people who would reach over, unlock the locking mechnism, and then walk into the ride....cheshire wrote:I just needed to vent. I typically got security (a 280-300lb guy, all muscle, who also ran maintnance) to remove them at that point. It was nice having owners who didn't really care. "Eh, we got money, it's all good"

I wish the gates and ropes are connected to electricity. That just ticks me off, guests just opening the gates by themselves. I was at safety at the Astro Orbitor and this kid just went ahead and opened the gate. So to be evil  , I went ahead opened the secondary gate, then I went ahead to open the first gate. And just for a tease, I delayed the launch for five minutes.cheshire wrote:Maybe the gates should have spikes  I bet they would back up for that.
