West Coast Irish Fair

Post by Ms. Matterhorn » Sat Oct 03, 2009 12:12 pm

Any of you left-coasters looking for fun on Saturday Oct 24 should check out this Irish Fair. Lots of music, dancing and food, and the money goes to charity. I'll be there, wearin' my green!

"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Sorry. I will be out of town. Will be on East coast visiting Shorty82 and BW. I might be going to my friend's dad's funeral. I am not sure. I am having one of those off days.

Thanks for thinking of me DM. I'm still waiting for my 'stimulus' check to show up. My favorite Irish t-shirt (not mine :( ) was "Irish today,Hung-over tomorrow".

DM, Midway City is not far from Santa Ana. Take 17th street from Santa Ana down & you'll be in Midway City. Only know because I got my CDL in Midway City. Was told they were easier. :D: Bet they'll have pins. ;) Maybe I'll go. I'm Irish.

The Dapper Dan in green in my avatar, Ken, is Irish and told the following joke on our VM shows:
Three men, an Englishman, a German, and an Irishman, walk into a pub. They each order a pint, and just as the three glasses are placed in front of them, a fly lands in each glass.

The Englishman mutters "oh blimey" and pushes the glass away.

The German picks the fly out of the drink, shouts "Ticky tacky, ticky tacky, hoy hoy hoy!" and drinks the pint.

The Irishman picks up the fly and yells at it, "Spit it out! Spit it out!" :D:
Two Irishmen, Paddy and Shamus, made a pact that when one died the other would pour a bottle of fine whiskey over the grave.

Paddy was on his death bed and asked Shamus if he remembered the pact. "Yes I do," replied Shamus, "But would it be okay if I filtered it through my kidneys first?"

I can't put my finger on it, but something seems missing from this joke.
