Michael Jordan will not be down for dinner

Post by Zazu » Tue Sep 29, 2009 10:10 pm

No, not the tall dark Michael Jordan, the short pale one. The gourmet chef, Master Somallier, Napa Rose manager Michael Jordan.

And he's not dead, he's just leaving Disney. Why? He's going to open his own winery.

Given his good taste and sense of humor, I'm looking forward to both the wine and the labels!

So, maybe there's work in John Blazon's future after all.

Zazu, my heart almost stopped! Had my finger on speed dial. Should have figured out from the "Will Not down for Dinner." You are sly. ;)

Every time Disney put out a press release about the Resort's own Michael Jordan, I always would think they worked out a deal with the famous Michael Jordan to be a master chef at Napa Rose. Funny thing is I actually can see the real Michael Jordan doing it, too.

I wonder if once he gets his winery up and running, if his wines will be part of "The Disney Collection" (including wines from wineries owned by Diane Disney Miller, John Lassetter, and othres)

Eek, you scared the poop out of me! And even though I am from Chicago, the Disney MJ is the one who came right to my mind. Bummer to hear this, as I was hoping he would be giving wine seminars on the transatlantic or Panama Canal Disney cruises again.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

As befits a fellow foodie.

Don't give up hope yet. We've seen more of John Blazon since he left than the past two years combined. Both are now free to do more of what they enjoy, and I think that involves food, wine, and people for both of them.
