Re: Question for Friends of Characters
actually, characters are now allowed to sign shirts and hats with logos from other companies, they just have to make sure not to sign near the logo. Also, the shirt should be Disney appropriate.Zazu wrote:One small addition -- the shirts and hats signed may be blank or Disney, but they may not have any other company's logo, character, or any wording on them. Oh you'd be surprised at how good the characters are with explaining things without speaking. They do a pretty good job overall.kurtisnelson wrote:I'd like to see Mickey have to explain that without words.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Agreed totally. I feel like I have had complete conversations with the characters, even though I'm the only one using words. It always amazes me how well they communicate!joanna71985 wrote:Oh you'd be surprised at how good the characters are with explaining things without speaking. They do a pretty good job overall.

And yet there are some guests who just don't get what the character is trying to animate at all. Goliath can't sign, and he had a family at Play N Dine that wanted him to sign. They understood he couldn't sign when he showed them his paws, but when he tried to point to Jojo and animate that she signs for him, they didn't get it at all. He kept pointing, and the parents were like "how tall is she (the mother)?", "you want a picture with her?" "you like her hair?" Goliath tried pointing to his eyes and then at Jojo to say "look over there" but they just never got it. Finally it got to the point where he just put his head in his paws and shook it. The captain came over then and told them that Jojo signs for Goliath. She then made a point to tell him that it was good animation, and she understood him from across the restaurant. lol

Legend: Alligators dwell in the sewers beneath Disneyland.
Truth: There are no sewers below Disneyland, and therefore no alligators in them. The secret tunnels are infested with mutant rats, however.
