Go skiing in the Rockies.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Is it bad that I live in Utah with the "Best Snow on Earth," just off the mountains, and have never been skiing or snowboarding?hobie16 wrote:Go skiing in the Rockies.
This may not be entirely true, I have been cross-country skiing, but only once, and broke my wrist.

I grew up in Colorado, lived there eleven years, and went skiing precisely three times in all those years. Twice downhill, once cross-country. There are Texans who ski more often than most fellow Coloradans I knew.Lasolimu wrote:Is it bad that I live in Utah with the "Best Snow on Earth," just off the mountains, and have never been skiing or snowboarding?

I've still got you beat, lived here 22 years with only that one skiing trip, which I didn't do much skiing on.BRWombat wrote:I grew up in Colorado, lived there eleven years, and went skiing precisely three times in all those years. Salt Lake City has to be one of the best places to ski. They've got city buses that run to all the local slopes.

I've never gone skiing either, but my parents go to Lake Tahoe twice a year and say its a great time. The pictures look really nice and they swear the skiing is great though I guess I wouldn't know.
Excuse me! There's a line! I won't WAIT!

Re: What is the deal with people on the Internet?
Sorry to spoil the fun for a sec, but I have to get back on topic and vent about something...
I'm feeling really insulted right now. Earlier today, I made a post in a comment section in response to someone that I loved how the new dragon in Disneyand's Fantasmic looked, despite the fact that this individual said that it was a lot of hype over nothing.
In my post, I NEVER insulted this individual, I said that I was one of the people who did not obsess over the dragon all Summer, that comment was NOT intended to be about, or to insult the individual, but I guess this person did not get that;
They responded back that I "missed the point" and something like; "But thanks for defending the park, Disney employee."
Judging from their tone, this person is clearly a very snide and rude person by nature.
This may not seem like a big deal to some, but it is to me. I was accused of being a Disney employee defending the park, simply because I was being positive.
Normally, I NEVER look at comments' sections anymore, but earlier today I was bored and I caved. I'll never make that mistake again. and this just furthers my belief that there are more bad people than good.
So, yeah, I'm feeling pretty rotten about this.
Sorry to vent like that, but I figured if any group would understand, you guys would.

Some (you) see the glass as half full. Others see it as half empty.

And others look at it and wonder how fast they can chug it while flagging down the wait staff. :D:hobie16 wrote:Some (you) see the glass as half full. Others see it as half empty.
