No, I am referring to an as of yet unpublished/unfinished book that a friend of mine is writing which is how I could guarantee that no one here knew about it, I can't get into specifics yet though, except that I have been instrumental in preventing plot holes.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:Are you referring to the books "Titan," "Demon," and "Wizard" by John Varley?

Hell no! Those guys, & I love em, will scarf cake faster than a costumer can steal. If D L Security knows the cake is for me - forget it. They'll bring me the used plate & fork with detailed acct of how delicious MY cake was - with huge smiles. DM, just your cake "thought" is kind enough. :)DisneyMom wrote:how to get you the cake? I'd be tempted but I would have to see how the time and $ considerations would be at the time.
I will be on the Wonder next August for a family trip. That's as far as I know right now.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Oh, yes, those... The Varley trilogy is a delightful mixture of SF and pop culture satire, pushed to an extreme level. It deserves a bigger audience, and I don't think enough people are familiar with it. Varley's creation of a unique world right within the Solar System is as inventive as Niven's Ringworld or Farmer's Riverworld.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:Are you referring to the books "Titan," "Demon," and "Wizard" by John Varley?

After reading Heinlein, Asimov and so on, I found valeys stuff, umm, interesting, and a bit basic.
