Watched a tribute to Les Paul Thurs. Never knew he was so instrumental in laying down multi tracks, using different types of guitars for creating new sounds, & creating music styles which are foundations today. So many artists said there wouldn't be great sounds nor music without Les Paul. He was a true inspiration who seemed to get little recognition. Thanks Les Paul. R I P.

Agreed. All I knew about him was the guitar -- until the tributes I hadn't heard about his hits as a recording artist, his contributions to music engineering, etc. Pretty influential guy in more ways than I knew.
