Medical Leave
Hi everyone,
I figured you guys would know this better than anyone else. I am being placed on medical leave by my doctor because a bone tumor I had removed in January may be coming back. Its either that or I've somehow fractured the area where the donor bone in my leg is now placed. But anyway, does anyone know if I'll still be able to sign my cousins into the park while on medical leave? I'm only part-time, so I'm not on FMLA or anything. I plan on asking my managers but they haven't called back yet, so I figured I'd ask here.
Thanks in advance! :)

MLOA will still let a CM do sign ins with valid Security I D & 09 MainGate. FMLA or MLOA, doesn't matter, but remember - you can't legally be on property. You simply sign in then leave. No park play. This is @ DLR. WDW may have different MLOA rules.DDuckLover wrote:does anyone know if I'll still be able to sign my cousins into the park while on medical leave? I hope you feel better. Bone cancer sucks. My friend had it and it took him about 1 year to get rid of it.

Re: Medical Leave
Thanks. :)
MainStreeter- I'm just signing them in, so it's good to know that I can, my manager also confirmed this. I'm non-weight bearing and I don't think they'd have too much fun pushing me around in a wheelchair! Haha. Thanks again!
Turkeyham- I'm actually lucky enough to not have bone cancer. I just seem to get benign tumors throughout various parts of my body. So far it's my left tibia, my liver, and my colon. I feel bad for your friend, bone pain is nothing to play with and with a cancer diagnosis on top of that it must be very hard.

Re: Medical Leave
When I had my hip replaced a few years ago I was OK to drive, etc., by the end of April but unable to go back to work until mid-July. I kept my ID and MGP, and had no restrictions related to visiting the parks.

There has to be a joke in there about one not knowing what the other is doing...Main Streeter wrote:Thanks Chesh for your info. See - same company but left coast, right coast, Diff. rules.![]()
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Re: Medical Leave
Thanks! I talked to my manager to confirm again and she said I should be fine if I wanted to visit the parks. But being loopy from Vicodin and in a wheelchair I'm highly doubting I'll be visiting! I hope your hip replacement healed well! :)

Back to work in September! You're looking forward to that, aren't you Main Streeter? :D:
