Jeeze Hobie. I had to see this first thing in the morning. Threw up a little in my mouth. And is this really Camren Diaz? I thought it was Janice Dickinson.

So what would've happened if a *Guest* had decked him? (If I'd been within earshot at that moment, I don't know if I'd have been as good at restraining myself as well as that CM...) Think Security and/or OCSD would've "had a little trouble locating the attacker, noone was able to get a good description"?
At the very least, he would've gotten an extremely non-family-friendly piece of my mind...

It would have been well deserved if he had. Even more deserving if, when he awoke, his pass/ticket had been pulled and he was no longer on property.

I have decided that the next time a local news anchor dies, I am going to do something special. I am going to go harass them like they've done it to us, asking them questions about the person who died, if they feel responsible, what they might have done to contribute, do they think they're going to get a promotion, etc. Bonus points if I can get a local anchor to cry on camera as they've tried so hard to do with Monorail Pilots and management.
While I find the stuff these guys put you through appalling, I would totally support fighting fire with fire. These guys would totally go bat-shit crazy if they had people showing up at their homes or work asking them these questions. Better yet, you should also do it to the executives that coerce them into doing it.

Lurked for a long time but felt the need to post.
BW and everyone else involved I am so sorry for what you have to go through. It is hard enough without having the extra jackasses out there. Shame people like that can't be muzzled.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your fellow workers. Remember that it takes baby steps but things will get better. Take each day and work through it, there will be good days and bad but sooner or later the good will out weigh the bad.

I agree with Shirley....we need to invest in muzzles!
BW, I am so sorry you experienced these horrible incidents (and probably still experience them). A slap upside the head and an almost-decking are nearly good enough. I am glad that security is responding approraitely to these people.
Also, I wanted to say that I am sorry you are having personal issues as well. I can only hope and pray for you that they lessen in time. My thoughts and prayers are with you (and with all of the monorail staff).
I hope to see you all soon,
Melanie

At the risk of sounding heartless, and I know that any less then sugary thoughts on the matter will be thought of as that, I think that way too much is being made of the vehicles. They didn't cause any accident, they are not guilty of any wrong doing, they are just machines. They aren't jinxed or tainted in anyway.
We just had a rather horrific bus accident a few months ago. But for the grace of God, no one was seriously hurt. The driver was just a few inches away from certain death but he survived with just minor injuries. Because he was determined, by outside agencies, to be at fault, he did lose his job and his career. That was also sad, because what happened could have happened to any of us in the business.
The bus in question, is being rebuilt and will be returned to the fleet. Same number, same paint job and with the exception of some extensive body work it is the same vehicle. And why shouldn't it be brought back on line. The area of the train where he died I'm sure will not be used again and the rest is just part of a larger picture. Any bus or monorail will remind those most effected of the incident and bring out the same emotions. It is only human. Like what was said before, things must go on. Enshrining things only makes the hurt last longer. It has been said, about this incident, that it was a fluke that was not likely to ever be repeated. The monorail and the CM's that operate them are there to transport guests to the fun that they were intended to have. That is not lost. All people are different, some are totally insensitive A-holes and others that are just the opposite. Thank those that genuinely care and ignore those that are a splotch on humanity.
Keep up the good work and put everything else behind you.

I am glad you posted this, because I feel like I want to do just that, but was not sure if it would be appropriate or not. So it sounds like doing this wouldn't be offensive or inappropriate?
You're a better person than I am - if what you described had happened to me, I'd probably be in jail for throwing the son-of-a-bitch over the side of the platform.

That sounds like a cross between my friend who is like sister and me.
What happen to BW and the crew was sad. I still cry when I am here reading their stories. I wish I could have been in FL, but I was unable to make it because of house sitting and work.
BW when you and the group venture out here, I will give you all a big hug.
