Please, Mr. CM, hit me with your light stick!

Post by glendalais » Sun Jul 26, 2009 11:41 pm

I recently picked a PAC shift over at the Magic Kingdom Park. It was nice, I certainly enjoyed doing something in Attractions/Operations again, lol.

However, do I have a SGT from it...

I was standing on Main Street directing Guests to and fro when a younger Guest comes up to me and is quite blunt in asking me to strike him in the head with my Light Stick.

No, you didn't read that wrong, he wanted me to take my Light Stick and strike him in the head.

I told him I couldn't do that, and he kept insisting. Eventually, he ran off. It was quite an akward experience overall. After all, the First Key (or Disney Quality Standard, as I think they call it here), is Safety, followed by Courtesy. I'm most certainly not going to be Courteous to a Guest by doing something unsafe, not to mention against Company Policy and all common sense  .

And was dear old dad hovering somewhere within zoom range with a video camera? Smells like a shake-down scam to me.

Wow. That was really...odd.

Just curious- how old was the guest?

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

On another note, I had the evening where I went to point in a direction and found my finger (yes, I was using the Disney Point) in the left nostril of a sweet little old lady. I turned to her, she was giggling, so I said the first thing that came to mind:

"Now that we're friends, can I borrow twenty bucks?"

Uproarious laughter all around.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

BW,

Can I borrow one of those?

I would seriously smack those who can't read simple signs through out the park.

I am just waiting for a item that looks like a mirror, but it laughs and breaks.

I bet it would be nice if you had 2 of them. One to point and another one to show the SG where to move.

Too bad you can't give out free wedgies. This morning my friend and I were ordering some breakfast items from a catering truck. My other friend is the owner of the truck. She mentioned to me, if your crew does not follow instructions, just give them a wooden wedgie with the stick. I laughed at that.

:D:
