Why? Vocal Majority should come well after MetallicA, at least it does in my collection :D:

Well, Hubby's CD collection is vast, and he puts all cd's for road trips in a case....My primary function on trips is to change CDs and occasionally look at map. Would sneak VM into said case ;) . I could file VM in between Uriah Heep and White Snake. :D:
Or if filed under Wombat would go between White Snake and Yes :p:

You should upgrade to an iPod and set it on random. That way a VM selection can pop up anywhere.

I did that to my Mom with some heavy metal.

+1 for the ipod, although since we got our Avalanche and XM we tend to listen to that quite a bit as well...

Wait... there's music other than the Vocal Majority???

Early on when I joined the group, I overdid it on our MP3 players. New members can buy every CD still in stock for $2 each to help us learn older songs, so I got all fourteen CD's, and loaded them all into the rotation. It was overkill for a while, especially to my family, but I loved it!

I've actually been without an MP3 player for a while -- I lost mine in December or January -- but rumor has it that I might be getting a new one for my birthday in a couple of weeks. (It helps that I'm the one who bought it and gave to my wife to "give" me. :D :) (FWIW, it's a Creative Zen X-Fi. I'd love an iTouch, but until I'm less poor I'll take cheap but functional instead.)

Love it!

This may be a little "inside baseball," but within the barbershop community every year a discussion erupts on the internet about some of the songs performed in contest and whether they are "real barbershop." There have been barbershop arrangements of Beach Boys tunes and a Jackson Five number or two, which, while dated to us, are still too "contemporary" to the KIBBERS (from Keep It Barbershop)!

I can't wait till their heads explode when VM does our Metallica contest set next year! :p:
