Not slamming,just a little dig. ;) I loved the weather when my dad was stationed at Vandenberg. The past 2dys have been over-cast here. A refreshing break from the 'pizza-oven' Az sun. (Why is it that all the states claim the sun as theirs?)

Did you live in Lompoc when you were a kid, Darph? My Grandpa used to work at Vandenberg on the launch pad ;)

No. A little (then) town called Orcutt,just outside of Santa Maria.My dad was radar/electronics. This was (cough/mumble,46,cough/mumble) years ago.

darph, interesting abt Vandenburg. I have a cousin with CIA up there. Fun to go up and wonder with him. When you were living in Orcutt did you ever go to A. Beach? ;) The entire beach we lost in a poker game. Wasn't developed at all back then. That coast area is one of my all time favorite spots. :)
