Hehe! Wish all my patients were as good humored as you are in the post-op phase :) at least I know you are feeling better, or narcotics are effective ;)Zazu wrote:But that's the problem; I'm already er-regular!

NOT talking about your Foley Catheter, was alluding to something else, but
sounds like an interesting story ( I know, nurses are weird....)
You don't have a Nurse Jessica Smilie, do you? I will wait til you feel improved
for that one. :D:

Re: The Hornbill and the Knife
I've been fortunate to have been relatively pain free throughout. After seventeen staples, I figured the least I could do was to keep the staff in stitches.DisneyMom wrote:Hehe! Two of the three charge nurses expressed regret when I left the hospital, so it looks like I'm funny even when mildly drugged.
Not all that gross (but the squeamish beware). The tech who was removing the staples from my lower abdomen kept fussing with a giant doily trying to "protect my modesty" (I think the phrase is), a location only inches away, and from which she would be removing the Foley in a few short minutes.NOT talking about your Foley Catheter, was alluding to something else, but

After a while, I just said, "Look, I know you only came to the Magic Kingdom to ride Space Mountain, but we all know the castle is right there in the middle of the park. It's not like we can pretend it's not there. I mean, how long have you worked in a urology office?"
We both promptly dropped both pretense and doily, but I discovered that removing staples did hurt a bit more when the tech and patient are both laughing.
No need for any such delay: :nursejes:You don't have a Nurse Jessica Smilie, do you? I will wait til you feel improved
