Let me preface this by saying that I am in the
SCA. A medieval recreation group. I fence (read: swordfight) and wear all the medieval garb and armor to go with it. I was taking a friend home from a local event when this went down. Here is what I posted on another Board.
So after I was done fighting at Gyldenholt Anniversary I was driving a friend home and saw a small dog darting in and out of traffic. Immediatly I pulled into the shopping center grabbed my extra leash and tried catching him before it was too late. My friend and I tried to catch him for more than 45 minutes before we gave up. Thankfully we chased him into a residential area where traffic is much less. After the fact I realized that I was still in my rapier armor sans mask and glove. I was wondering what all those funny looks from passersby were.
My legs burned for three day after that...
Here's a pic of me in the whole outfit.

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"
"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."
"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

Is it bad that my first thought after, "Great story!" was "And I want that fabric for a dress!"?

Must have been quite a sight! :D:
I'm noticing a lot of "saving strays" stories here, must be a consistent trait of SGTers.
.......of course,we won't mention those who run over deer and bunnies with company vehicles! :p:
:flybongo: NO BULL!!!!!:D:

Perhaps that would give you the rights to become a forrester and games keeper for the King?
Very good deed, indeed.
(have you checked YouTube to see if anyone "caught" you?)

Well I was inspired to tell this tale by the story of the stray kitten on the freeway.

Poor doggy probably thought you were going to catch him and roast him over an open fire, and who knows what the other drivers thought!

(Probably the same thing)
