Other than always staying very well hydrated, I'm not aware of a "kidney stone diet" so I'll look that one up and PM you any info I find.

Because of the type of kidney stones I kept having, they told me that diet coke was a contributing factor. So, it was more water and less diet coke for me.

Zazu - so glad you're back and coherent and hopefully about to regale us with SHS. Of course, anyone here who has surgery pending should not read Zazu's stupid hospital stories. I imagine they will frighten young children and surgery patients.

I've had two abdominal surgeries in my life, once in the early 70s, another in the late 90s. I noticed quite a few diffeences. In the 70s, they did more for you. I had a benign ovarian cyst removed, and the hospital stay was a week. In the 90s, I had surgery to drain a cyst that developed as a result of adhesions from the first surgery. I had to do more stuff on my own, and I was in the hospital only a couple of days. I had the feeling that they were trying to rush me out of the hospital. Of course, when I had my first surgery, I was on my parents' insurance; the second surgery, I was a charity case. That also may have made a differance.

Take it easy, Zazu, and don't worry, I'm sure the feathers they had to pluck will grow back soon. :D: :p:
