My mom called to tell me (abt 2hrs late, bless her heart)
We were talking abt Jacko also, I had to explain to her that Farrah's passing was more to me than Michael. "Ma, Farrah was every 17yr old boys fantasy".

You know what is really sad. Farrah had a very bad, very embarrassing cancer and it killed her. I really believe that she was trying to get the message out that anyone can be a victim and that everyone should be vigilant for any signs of trouble as early as possible.

So what happens? The freak show dies the same day and it becomes a "Michael Jackson died! Oh, yea...so did Farrah whatshername!

I know Farrah wasn't a real angel but as a person she far out shined MJ, only to have MJ take away her final thunder and more importantly her final message.

What kind of people are we?

Well the news services are not helping! Look at all the phone camera clips of what was going on in Iran suddenly get replaced with clips of MJ performing at various stages of his life.

Meanwhile people are dying, protesting a fixed election.

yeah, we really got our priorities straight!

I was checking Weird Al's website, looking for a comment from him about Michael--after all, he parodied two of Michael's hits--Beat It/Eat It, and Bad/Fat; Michael loaned Al the same subway set used in Bad for Fat--but found nothing. Tried his MySpace page, but had problems loading. I'll try again later.

I remember when Farrah became famous, I saw an ad for a necklace that had a charm shaped like a faucet with a drop of water hanging from it; I think it had the word "Farrah" above the faucet--a play on her last name. Bet people who bought that are gonna be hitting EBay.

I've got to say that it is a real shame that the media has all sorts of coverage about Micheal Jackson, and no one is talking about poor Farrah.

When I finally got to check Weird Al's MySpace page on his comments re: MJ, he Twittered that he couldn't express it in 140 characters.

No shit. This morning on ZNN or F-you network, they admitted to spending 60% of their time reporting Jacko. Except for HLN, which spends 'all' their time reporting about the latest 'beautiful' little 'white' girl who disappeared. :(
