Top 3 SG issues.

Post by Heavenleigh » Fri Jun 12, 2009 9:45 am

Top 3 issues:

1. People who are in such a hurry that they can't even uncrumble a wad of money before they give it to you. Its so freakin rude I can't stand it. Take 2 seconds and have your bills straight.

2. People that pay for something over five dollars in change. Not quarters im talking pennys nickles and dimes. I am not a change machine.

3. After you ask them if thats all for their order and give them all the items. Then ask AGAIN if thats all and they say yes. You press total ....SG say OHH wait I need 3 bottle waters.

I just had to vent that out. Just curious what everyone elses pet pevs are.

1) People who abuse the characters (and along the lines of this, people who berate the CMs)

2) People who ask unmagical questions about the characters, especially within earshot of children

3) This is a personal one for me, but people who smoke outside the smoking locations. The smell of smoke makes me really sick. I don't mind people who go to smoke in the smoking locations (since I can avoid them). But it's people who walk around and smoke that make me upset.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

1.) People who think rules don't apply to them.

2.) Management that thinks labor laws, as well as rules of common courtesy, don't apply to them.

3.) People who think the world revolves around them.

4.) People who are so incredibly stupid about common-knowledge things, also known as people who don't think/use common sense.

sometimes I feel like that when I first get to the parks.
Hey, here is a wad of cash, take what you need and please let me in.
then I buy a load of mouse money and have at it.

god, I see people pull wet money out of underware and other places.
I do feel sorry for the CMs and try to be nice to them. they make the magic,
then a greedy no mannered guest trys to yank it away. but once I get in the zone I just laugh at them.

I worked at a little food shop near the beach and we had a sign at the register "NO WADDED BILLS". Anyone that tried handing us wadded bills we were allowed to not reach out and take them. If they set them on the counter we just looked at them, then looked at the sign.

At a movie rental place I worked I was a shift manager and I would tell people that did that that my drawer was over filled with change from the days sales and that I didn't have room for all that change.

When I did drive thru at "Burger X" (sorry not sure about using company names on here), People would wait till they got to the pick-up window to add something. I just told them they woudl have to go around again or come inside.

Back in the day I worked at a Burget King drive-thru window that was set up so SGs could cut in. Whenever they pulled that crap, I would refuse to take their order at the window. Even back then I had no problem being confrontational (and they were desperate for functionally literate workers so I was in no danger of being fired), so the SGs never got away with it. I'm sure the poor souls behind them who actually gave their order at the speaker appreciated it...I've been behind cars who pulled that as a customer and it always steams me when the wimp at the window actually takes the order rather than sending them away in shame.

Ooooooooh, just reminded me of being 15, working at Tastee Freez, having some old witch TOTALLY ream me because her Tastee Burger did not come with cheese........well, you didn't ask for cheese, I said.......see Tastee Burger $1.05, Tastee Burger with Cheese, $1.15, I tried to helpfully explain.
She exploded, "It SAYS WITH CHEESE!",totally unclear on the concept that the two different prices indicated that cheese didn't automatically come with the burger
And yes, people paid with pennies more times than I could count

1) People who smoke out of the smoking areas. It's worse when they choose to go upwind of everyone. It's at it's worst when they choose a transportation location (bus stop, in the monorail, etc.) And it's really agitating when you tell them to stop, they pretend to put it out, and then either flip it so it's hidden in their palm or walk down a little bit and try to hide that they are doing it.

2) People who jump fences. I know that the escalator down is right there, but would it kill you to walk three feet to the end of the gate?

3) People who think that children are place holders. If you put your child in the monorail during the load/unload rush, and then take your time to walk all the way to the end of the monorail to look for seats, you had better expect me to close those doors. Turning around and calling me an idiot, when you were clearly told several times that there was standing room only and to keep your party together, most certainly doesn't help. Your lack of comprehension at seeing three cars with little to no standing room even is disturbing to me given that you have a child.

4) People who know better than you how things should be run at Disney, and are set on making sure that the CMs do it their way.

5) Obnoxious guests accompanying specials. We see the chair. We've already got the ramp. Yes, where you are going is our business. Yes, we will do all in our power to make the special's day great. No, we won't get you in for free next time. No, I won't let you walk up the ramp while another special waits for it, if only for the fact that you are annoying. Yes, the guest in the scooter is just as annoyed with you as I am.

I don't work at a park but I do work in a restaurant and have my fare share of SGs:

1. The people that get mad at ME for the cost of something, does it look like I decide what the price is?

2. Don't come in and stay past closing time!!!! I don't come to your work and force you to stay longer than you normally would so don't do it to me.

3. And my favorite is if a SG (stupid customer for me) asks me a question about something where the answer is DIRECTLY in front of them. That's where I just have to take a second then answer them.
