The Hornbill and the Knife
Re: The Hornbill and the Knife
You can order See's candy online, but I don't think they ship chocolates in hot weather. They offer a white chocolate or no chocolate mix in summer, and there are always the nut mixes and hard candies. Or you can order chocolate the rest of the year, store it in the freezer and bring it out during the summer and enjoy after defrosting. The only trick is trying to stay out of it before summer.... :D:

Just don't report the order/shipping confirmation as spam...felinefan wrote:You can order See's candy online, but I don't think they ship chocolates in hot weather. Oh, they will ship in the summer, just not standard shipping. They insulate the shipment as well :)

We finally got a full time See's on Maui this year. The two pound box of raspberry creams are my undoing. :D:

Ah, Sees Candies! Good thing I grew up with them, or Forrest Gump wouldn't have made nearly as much sense.
For those too far east for Sees, consider Russell Stover Candies. Near as I can tell, the same thing, right down the the arrangement in the white box.

I've been through LAX before. I usually feel at home at big airports, but I wasn't there long enough to get a grasp on the place. We are flying in and out of SNA for the convention later this month -- my first time through there.

You 'will' give us an update a few days after your procedure. No gory details though.

At See's prices, I'd rather not pay shipping in addition. Luckily we know enough people who travel to the west coast who can bring some back for us occasionally.felinefan wrote:You can order See's candy online, but I don't think they ship chocolates in hot weather. Ohmigosh - Raspberry Cream Sees'?? Now I'm going to HAVE to go check out the web site. Might even pull some money out of savings and pay shipping. :D:hobie16 wrote:We finally got a full time See's on Maui this year. The two pound box of raspberry creams are my undoing. :D:
Russell Stover, eh? I'll check that out. I think WalMart carries that brand and it's gotta be cheaper than See's. And no shipping. ;)Zazu wrote:Ah, Sees Candies! Good thing I grew up with them, or Forrest Gump wouldn't have made nearly as much sense.

Sorry, Zazu. Didn't mean to hijack your thread.
Next time we head that way, we'll bring some See's for you as compensation.
By the way, how long has it been since it was called Mrs. See's?
