signs that something is wrong

Post by BirdMom » Mon Apr 14, 2003 3:20 pm

Waaaaaaaaayyy back in the early 80's when I was a merch. lead, I remember having an opening stock shift. Wasn't looking forward to it, was pretty grumpy about having to be at work at 6:00am, so imagine how it brightened my day to unlock one of the basement stock rooms and turn on the lights to see this gigantic Mickey plush hanging in a noose from one of the ceiling light fixtures. I was laughing so hard it took me a few minutes to compose myself. Made me wonder what kind of night the closing crew had...

I did have a camera in my purse, in my locker of course, but by the time I came back with it, some killjoy had taken Mickey down. Damn - I wanted the outside world to know that not all was sweetness and light at the tragic kingdom!

I'm sure you OC people won't quite see the humor in this, but here in Oakland at the Coliseum (where the A's play) there's a rally monkey in a noose permanently hanging between the two bleacher sides

Walnut Creek's nicer than Concord, on average. Good luck :)
