Saw "Up" this afternoon. Very enjoyable. And yes, I got a little choked up during a few of the scenes too.

(that being said, am I the only one that's a little sad they didn't find a way to work the line "Adventure keeps calling my name" or some other reference to the Adventurer's Club into the film somewhere?)

Saw it on Monday. Great film. I was especially pleased that they used the digital 3D to good effect without doing any stupid in your face 3D elements. Also, Squirrel!

Speaking of squirrels, does anyone know for sure if Alpha has the same voice as Foamy the Squirrel? I'm pretty sure it is, but I don't know who does Foamy, so I don't know how to tell for sure.

For those not "in the know" Foamy is a rather foul little squirrel who has his own web-based cartoon (which happens to be totally hilarious). Here's a link, but be mindful: he's not for kids!

Nope. But Alpha does have the same voice actor as Dug. He's also one of the directors, Bob Peterson.

You mean like the opening scene of Monsters vs. Aliens and its "cheap 3D trick"? :p:

Yeah, I did see that. Man, those guys (Peterson and Doctor and all the rest of those Pixar guys who've been around for a while) are some of the coolest geeks around. I envision their jobs being just as fun as most people think working at Disney Parks is! :D:

By the way: it occured to me that I hadn't given an opinion on the film... My final answer is that this film is FANTASTIC! So good. I'm now in negotiations with my roommates as to where exactly this rates in terms of the rest of the Pixar catalog. He puts it above Wall-E and I put it a quarter step down from Monsters Inc. Really, though, the correct answer is: these guys make great films and I can watch every one of them multiple times! :p:

Okay, I'm slow coming to this party, but I finally saw "Up" today -- it's not easy these days to find a time my whole family can sit down together, especially with my rehearsals and kids' camps. But WOW... Will Pixar ever run out of great movies to make? I swear my expectations stay pretty high, and yet they are exceeded every time. Touching... exciting... laugh out loud funny... This is another instant classic.

I saw Up! 3D the other day and at the end said "Pixar and Disney did it again!" It was excellent. Very enjoyable.

Hey, Shorty! Congrats on 1500 posts.

We need a smiley with Dug in the Cone of Shame.

I needed that last night.

I don't care to talk about it.
