I would love to come down and hear you perform but unfortunately the event is at the same time that we happy part-time pyros are the busiest. July 3rd & 4th with prep and shows followed by sleep on the 5th. :D:
So, I'm going to have to settle for thinking good thoughts for you and VM.

"Happy part-time pyros"? That sounds like a really cool job! Either that or someone the Fire Department wants to question as part of their ongoing investigation... :D:

We like warm bodies in the seats, but we'll gladly take the good thoughts!!!

:hijack:
Hubby and I have day jobs where we are kind of in charge, so we work on a pyro crew doing fireworks where we are part of the crew and not in charge. That way we can be out having fun without the paperwork.
It's difficult to make a living in fireworks (if you are not part of the crew of a major theme park who does them every night) so most folks have a day job.

and now we return you back to the original topic.

IF they did a window, wouldn't they have to remove someone already honored?

Hmmmmm.

Update: Less than two months until thousands of barbershoppers descend on Anaheim! The VM has been working hard on getting our contest package ready -- sixteen hours of rehearsal last week alone! It's hard work, but worth it to entertain and dazzle (and, oh yeah, pick up a gold medal along the way?).

News: If you want to see the Vocal Majority perform, single event tickets are on sale now (for CA residents only, sorry)! Here's where we will be appearing:
  • Friday, July 3, 10 a.m. - Chorus contest, session #1, Honda Center
  • Saturday, July 4, 2 p.m. - "Harmony Foundation Presents..." Show, Honda Center
That last show will feature the VM along with two other past champion choruses, the Masters of Harmony and the Ambassadors of Harmony, as well as three champion quartets, Max Q (from the VM, more or less, plus lead singer Tony DeRosa's a longtime WDW CM), OC Times (last year's champs, from Anaheim) and Vocal Spectrum. It'll be an amazing and entertaining show.

Also, if/when the VM wins Gold Medal #12, we will be performing at the beginning of Saturday evening's Quartet Finals, which is also always a great show.

Finally,
If you're cheap/poor like me and don't want to pay anything for tickets: we will be rehearsing in one of the conference/ball rooms at the Sheraton Park Anaheim (on Harbor south of Katella, right next door to the Hilton Anaheim, which is the convention headquarters hotel). We'll typically get a big room and have seating for about 500, and our rehearsals are always open to the public -- but in contest years the seats can go fast. Our first rehearsal in CA will be on Wednesday, July 1, at 7:00 p.m. We'll also be in there all day Thursday and some on Friday morning.

Sending this early BRW. :trophy: We'll be sitting in the poor folk section July 1. :)

For the record, you are there two-and-a-half months early.
