Colleges and Universities

Post by Rex » Tue May 19, 2009 12:00 pm

I'm interested in finding out a bit more about colleges and universities in Florida, more specifically in the greater-Orlando area.

I currently have industry certifications in I.T. and I am looking to get, if nothing more, at least an Associates Degree, or better yet a Bachelor's degree.

Are there any "tips" or "secrets" that perhaps anyone could reveal to me about going to school in Florida?

University of Central Florida has some decent programs in I.T, you might want to check there...

I'm not a tourist cause I work there...

Do you want to stay in the IT arena? Have you thought about looking past the M$ stuff and getting into unix, or going toward networking?

Absolutely. I'm not closing doors to anything, so at this point, everything is an option.

I'm currently working through a program in Oregon called "Free Geek" which is a program that gives away computers for free - they use Ubuntu. I'm not there for the building per se, but rather, to learn Ubuntu.
