I'd like to know the same thing, I walk that at night a lot. What I heard was creepy when we were checking our intrusion monitor (It kind of wasn't working right) when a Lead and a RO where tagged out and walking along side the buggies, which were in motion with work lights off and sound on, just to set off the intrusion monitors.Grumpy wrote:I walk there pretty often, what's freaky about the walkway?flippin_mermaid wrote:And a fun scary area to walk by at night after closing is the walkway from Critter Country to Haunted Mansion ... freaky!

I was just saying it's "freaky" because it's fun...like, ok, this is hard to explain here....I like freaking myself out for no reason...I'm one of those people who likes to be scared for fun. And the walkway, at night, when alone...can be scary-fun for me...I used to like walking along after the park was closed and I was alone...the sounds of the mansion and the general ghost-stories of that area...it's just fun. That's ALL I was getting at. Like I said, I don't actually believe in the ghost stories at all, but it's just all fun and games.

now i'm scared to go anywhere, holy crap, i've encountered a few of those things on there, and know where i can find even more of them! why'd i have to go and make this thread in the first place, however htis is an excellent halloween activity. You don't even know how many of those i can actually tell you from hearing them! they're missing one from Orange High School though, they're right about someone hanging themselves in the basement, but it was a janitor, and another student later on, who i belive was male, don't go into the basement there. that's not where i went. Stay away from the football feild at night, you will have the shit scared out fo you at the very least. I went out there one night, not even very far onto it, and then turned around and came back (this was with a mess of friends i'd never go "ghosting" alone) and i'm walking back with my friend, and we all regroup at my car, and the girls that killed herself (hung from the goal post) Laughed at us, evil laugh, replayed in all our minds for hours afterwards, none of us can remeber the sound, but we if we were to hear it again, we'd know. We'd run. If you ever, for some reason, do go there, and it's after school hours, and there aren't any events going on, the school should be locked up completly, i was able to drive right onto campus, and right then and there i knew somethign was more than wrong, so i kept going, and i swear i almost died! OK well, it's getting windy, and i'm going to the former other park, and need my rest.

Well, this is something I certainly should have read during the day :!: Talk abt scary, this site gave me way too much CA. haunting history. The site did leave out a very common ghost who has been seen @ Disney Land. Will try to find this story so as to post it correctly. One of the scariest, my favorite, & most known Anaheim tales concerning the old stage coach crossing the freeway late @ night by The Big A was also not included. Going to be difficult to sleep now! Why did I read the entire site? :bang:saidthekat wrote:here's one...

Any Knotts CMs know anything about the Log ride queue possibly being haunted? (i went to knotts today) it seems to me that everytime i've been on that ride, something solid trips me at about the same spot in the queue (near the waterfall) it's happened everytime i've been there ever since i can remember as a kid. and when i look, nothing at all.

Gawd, why didn't I find this thread sooner - I've been way too busy with school.
Yeah, I've had some interesting experiences on the Mansion. I was pretty neutral about ghosts before I started working there, but being trained on the big house changed my mind forever.
Timmy? Who the hell is Timmy? I worked in there for 5 years - there was never a "Timmy" while I was there...lol. I know some people who've had "training" from the Psychic Institute (yes, it really exists) and have seen some of the regular spirits there. Some are in and out. The three regulars in my day were an elderly lady, an elderly man (who we thought was the ghost of the man who died there in the loading area in 1970 - Hal W., husband of one of the long time r/o's was there when it happened. Diane can confirm) and a younger man who was supposed to be quite a prankster. One of the things that I remember from my training was that the little hexagonal shaped table next to Leota's table in the seance circle was one that had actually been used in real seances. It has mother of pearl inlaid in the top in the shape of a star of David. And of course, with Leota's voice continually calling for the spirits to come in, it's a vortex of activity - those are the ghosts who are in and out of there.
I think I was only there for two weeks before stuff started happening to me. I got my hair pulled hard while alone in unload, resting my feet on that plate next to the wall. No one in the crypt, no one going up the speedramp, out the emergency doors or into service. No guests nearby either.
A few days later, I was at load 2, a little ways up the slope, making sure the shells were closing. Late at night, gaps between groups. Someone touched me on the back and there was a hand and forearm sticking out of one of the cars - the one I assued gave me the tap. Now I'm keeping my eyes on it the entire time. I thought I would scare the smart ass back, so not taking my eye off this same car with the arm that curled back in, I ran up next to it, turned on my flashlight to say "boo" but there was no one there. No one in the cars in front of it, and no one in the cars behind it. I was thinking ooooeeeeeeeoooooo. Didn't say anything to anyone, because I thought I was going crazy.
The next incident made me a true believer. Again, late at night, I was down in load by myself - load 2 had taken the ER back up. I decided to rest my feet and sat on the little part of the wall right next to where the load belt starts. So I'm sitting there minding my own business all alone, and my dress went up. Now the a/c - heating system wasn't blasting. The skirt of my dress was up like someone was looking underneath it. In the meanwhile, my petticoat was still down around my ankles. And there was no one in front of me. I could see all the ridges in the edge, where the fingers/knuckles should have been. And it just stayed up there for what seemed like the longest time. So finally, it went back down after a minute or two and it was as if someone smoothed it back into place. So I went running up the ramp to service screaming for the lead and she's all "we wondered if stuff was going to happen to you." Thanks for the warning kids.
I used to see people walking in the halls (when there was no one there) and they would dissappear at a certain point. I saw someone in the mirror at unload oppressively close behind, would whirl around and there would be no one there. It happened to other people I knew too in unload. The feakiest thing I heard about happened to Carmen M....can't remember her last name anyway. She was at load 2 with the other CM right at closing. The last people in the line were a mother and daughter. The little girl asked Carmen if the ghosts were real and she said something like "naw, they're Disney ghosts. We don't bring the real ghosts out until after midnight." The clamshell closes, they were off and almost immediately this mist came out of the wall behind load one and headed straight for Carmen. The guy working that position saw it too. She said it was like it was happening in slow motion, it went right up to her and through her, then passed through the wall where the evac door is. The guy went running up to her all pale and asked if she was o.k. - he was pretty freaked out, but she said it felt kind of weird and kind of peaceful. That's what she told me anyway - it happened on my day off. I always used to hear footsteps where there weren't any motors, I'd feel hands brushing across my face. I got used to it after awhile.
As far as the ashes in the mansion, Sandy S - damn can't give out her name - don't know if she's still casual after all these years. Anyway, she was a school teacher, summer help, pretty sensible, pretty reliable. She told me that she had some guests come up to her one night with a container. They quietly explained to her that they had the ashes of their friend and his last wish was to be scattered in the big house - it was his favorite ride. Now this was back in the day, and she explained to them that "officially," she had to tell them no. However, she told them that there were no cameras in the ride and she wasn't going to follow them to see every little thing they were going to do (wink - wink). Afterwards, they came out and thanked her. Our theory was that this was the guy who lifted my skirt. He was supposed to have been a joker in life from what his friends told Sandy. I think he was vaccuumed up - she didn't tell management, and there weren't any bio-hazard teams at the time.
I've heard Walt in in his old apartment on Main Street. My ex worked in Security and some of the guys wouldn't go in there alone. I've also heard that Walt sometimes hangs out in the transition tunnel in Pirates. Considering how many people have bought the farm there, I'm surprised there aren't more ghosts. I witnessed one poor guy die from a siezure over in Carnation Plaza one afternoon. And what about Dolly on the Matterhorn. I've seen the ghost in the ladies Space Mtn. locker room - it's a maintenance man. He shocked the hell out of me while I was dressing late at night. But then again, I've also heard the stories the guys told about scaring the rookies on tin cans into believing the scraping sounds they were hearing were Walt in the caves.

Timmy is a little boy who was "dumped" in the mansion. I've never seen him. Many have, he tends to hang out at Mansion or Roger Rabbit.
