Now that most food that is not prepackaged is moving to F&B control they now have changed how the carts will take money.
* Credit Card (as well as Debit Cards with the following brands)
o VISA
o MasterCard
o American Express
o Discover
o Japan Credit Bureau (ジェーシービӦ)
o China UnionPay (中国银&#32852 ;)
* Disney Gift Card
* Key to the Magic Card (Hotel of the Disneyland Resort Room Charge)

Carts and/or Cast Members selling the following:

* Ice Cream
* Cotton Candy/Frozen Lemonade/Kettle Corn
* Breakfast Items (select days)
* Balloons
* "Glow" Items (light-up necklaces, swords, etc.)

You are close on that. Outdoor vending is still going strong 600 cast members. I heard from my friend that ODV will have managers at a few resturants. You check in at the resturant, get your fund, go out to the cart which is within a minute or 2 from the place. The ODV office has gotten your drinks pre-stocked and you just have to call if you need more food.

If anyone is in ODV, there is a big meeting this Sunday at the Union office and you can vent your concerns to the crew and go from there. What I understand the senority and pay stays the same. Plus your managers will be spread out and some will be at the place you go to. :)

An agreement between the Disneyland Resort and Workers United Local 50 has been reached. It will take the form of a Side Letter to be assoicated with the current Parks Food & Beverage Contract until it's expiration this fall.

I'm sure the full details and effects of this Side Letter will fleshed out in time, but for now, this is the basic summary of it, as described by the Union:
  • A new Job Classification, "Vendor", will be created for all Outdoor Vending/Ventures Cast Members transferred to Quick Service Restaurants. This will ensure that QSR Cashiers won't be trumped by ODV Cashiers with higher senioirity or forced to work on a ODV Cart, and likewise for ODV Cashiers.
  • Any Cast Member in the "Vendor" Job Classification (i.e., those Cast Members who will be transferred from ODV to QSR) who returns to their previous ODV Classification (Cashier, Stocker/Steward) will retain the higher pay rate and future pay increases.
  • ODV Cast Members, who are currently choosing whether to stay in ODV or transfer to QSR, will have the opportunity to change their mind and transfer in or out of ODV once at any time before 31 January 2010.
  • QSR Working Leads at any QSR Fruit Cart or Vending (ODV Cart) location will not make less than the Receiver Assistant Working Lead rate (currently $11.04/hr, including the $1.25/hr Working Lead Premium)

All of this starts June 14th. Golden Horse shoe has the run of all the ODV carts: churros, popcorn, Frozen Lemonade, pretzels and the hot foods cart.
All stock will be pulled from the restaurant and the stockers who were at ODV will be sent to that restaurant and deliver the stock. The reliefs, leads and a manager will be doing the same.

Those QSR-ODV cashiers in the morning will check-in, count their funds, walk to the location in which is less than 50 feet from the restaurant and open their cart. That should cut down on walking time and start up. When they get breaks and a lunch, it will be a relief from ODV. Hopefully there will be no late change overs. Then the cashier counts out the drawer and goes home. There won't be any long walks to the car unless you are parked in Ball lot.
