Disneyland Resort Introduces New Fireworks Spectacular "Magical"

The Disneyland Resort recently announced the new Fireworks Spectacular to debut at Disneyland Park from 12 June.

In Magical, Dumbo will join Tinker Bell in the skies over The Happiest Place on Earth as they present our Guests with a show featuring magical moments from some of The Walt Disney Company's most beloved animated classics.

Featuring the vocal talents of Eden Espinosa, a former Disneyland Resort Cast Member who is best known for portraying Elphaba in the Los Angeles production of the musical Wicked, Magical will feature a wide variety of new effects, including a wide variety of coloured spotlights in the night sky and confetti being shot down Main Street USA.

As far as I can tell, the Disneyland Resort will continue to perform the two special seasonal fireworks spectuaculars at Disneyland Park: Disney's Celebrate America: A 4th of July Concert in the Sky on Independence Day (4 July), and Believe...In Holiday Magic during the Christmas season.

D23 is clarifying that Magical will only be shown during this summer's Summer Nightastic! special event at the Disneyland Resort from 12 June to 23 August 2009.

The Remember...Dreams Come True Fireworks Spectacular will be returning to Disneyland Park after the special event concludes on 23 August 2009.

On a side note, has anyone noticed that WDI is doing a fair recycling of soundtrack for this new fireworks show?

Most notably, the ending soundtrack played to the press recently is taken from the「イッツ・マジカル」(English: "It's Magical") Castle Stage Show, performed at Tokyo Disneyland Park for their 10th Anniversary in 1993.
