Hey, just a little update on the nontourist

My older sister lives in Poway, CA. She grows her hair out long and donates the hair to a company who makes wigs for those who loose their hair from chemo.

This year and the years to come, I plan to do that and donate my hair for those who are in need.

The organization is called "Locks of Love" based in West Palm Beach. I learned about it at the Main Street Barber Shop when a cast member came in and asked Michael to measure and see if hers was long enough yet (10" is the minimum). It was, and was the third gift she'd made after recovering from her own chemo sessions.

I'm so sorry to hear about your condition :( . Though it's nice to hear that you're responding to chemo.

Just rest and don't worry about anything right now. You're surrounded by people who care for you and will take care of everything so you can focus on recovering :) .

the box is officially on the way to you as of about two this afternoon! priority mail so it should get there pretty quick. St. March affixed the mailing label to the box with his own two hands since I couldn't tape a mailing label to the broad side of a barn right now with any accuracy. Being that he also drove me to the post office, it's as much from him as from me and I know it carries the well wishes of every poster here at SGT to you along with it as well.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing okay? We're here to listen!!! Only when you feel up to it though. as glendalais said rest is the most important thing.

ps I put a picture of us in the box for ya too so you have faces to go with the names here! :) Only it was taken on our last WDW trip 4/08 before St. grew his cute scruffy beard. I need new pictures...

I shaved the hair off yesterday. It was coming out in clumps and it's still kind of hard to deal with, but I have a beautiful wig from my parents that looks real.

I will get through this and I must say, I love you all...

Hey, at least I still *have* all my feathers! One advantage of being a hornbill rather than an eagle.

In fact, at my age, I'm starting to grow feathers in places I don't particularly need them.
