Are They Really Singing That?

OK, I got another one from my recent trip down to Orlando. We were at Universal Studios and watching the cheezy Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue. For those who are unaware, it is the Universal Studios monsters singing rock songs with slightly altered lyrics while Beetlejuice hosts.

So, the show has started and these two cute cheerleaders come out singing an ode to Beetlejuice to the tune of Tony Basil's Micky... "Oh BJ, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey BJ." :eek:

I look at my wife and say, "did they really sing what I thought they sang?"

Who came up with this idea? Who thought it would be a good idea at a family theme park? Did they just assume that the kids wouldn't get it, but the adults would? Am I the only one whose mind went straight to the gutter here? Wow!

I'm Guessing BJ stands for Beetle Juice, which makes it ok for theme park entertainment, especially in a place that prides itself on not being Disney. The performers probably think about that same thing every time, and wonder how many people will catch it in that way. I mean, I know I would...

That Beetlejuice show is absolutely horrible. And is hard to explain to kids.

Yeah, but if you've got a wife with a bad back who cannot ride most if not all of the rides, you take what you can get.

Think about it this way, it took me 5 minutes to figure out what you were trying to say, and required a Wikipedia search, and I'm at the age and life situation where I should know about it (please don't read into that).

Younger kids won't get the innuendo at all.
