After a few weeks working at Tomorrowland Terrace (Club Buzz; Coke Terrace; Hell; whichever you wanna call it) I caught myself at home, washing my hands, and when I finished I said something like, "Thank you, have a good day." I thought I was going insane.

Things I've found myself doing
- "Disney Point" when not even in the parks
- picking up random trash when I'm in the parks as a guest
- Giving directions (even in parks I don't work at)
- Answering questions at Tip Board (on my day off ... and I don't even work Tip Board)
- Wishing ppl a happy birthday when not working

I realized a little while ago that when I am onstage I use the two finger point automatically without thought, but backstage I default to normal pointing, all sub-consciously. However, when I am in the park as a guest I still point with two fingers. My friends have had to bring that to my attention on several occasions.
I do that all the time: onstage, backstage, not working, out of costume, during my daily routine. I have gotten used to doing the two finger point everywhere I go without knowing it.

I think the worst thing I've done unintentionally when not in costume is (thanks to my friends) done pyro gc. My friend just kept referring people to me and I, without realizing he was doing this, just thought it was strange that all these people were coming up to me asking hoe to get out of the park but I just went into castmember mode and directed them(two finger point and all)

the absolute worst thing is when you're picking out the kids that aren't tall enough to ride your attraction, i do it as i guest, and i do it at steam trains. i even pulled it on the parade route one time, when someone asked me a question, from behind, i turned around and answered it, athen saw the kid and said, he's not going to be tall... (wtf look) sorry used to being at indy. and the mom seemed perfectly ok with the fact that i had no clue where i was, and had just given her a scripted answer (which she probly didn't realize was on a loop in my head, answer question check kid, give appropriate assesment of childs hieght.)

...And then there is the WORST of all Disney things you 'take home'!!!
THE DISNEY VOICE!!!!! If you didnt realize it, you will now. It seems that CMs raise their voices a few octives especally when speiling. In fantsayland I was once asked if Disney teaches us how to talk like that. I didnt realize I did the voice thing untill I made a new voice mail recording on my cell phone and played it back and it didnt sound like me at all!!!! My brother will totally call me on it when I use that voice at home. Yeah its a little freaky!!!!

I kinda already had that one going for me, i was in marching band for four years, and frequently had to adress large groups in an informative way, so it was a natural carry over for me. But yes, we do have a certain voice that we use don't we.

Yeah...its sad isn't it. I tired out for Drum Major my senior year and well learned to call commands quite well. People ask me all the time about losing my voice. Uh....well if you learn to project it doesn't happen.

The WIERD thing is at Mansion when I speil I get this wierd british accent thing going on but at Pooh it's not there.
