When CMs get bored...
Re: Boredom at its best
haha i sometimes do something similar. what I do is i'll dial up the Goofy line or the Inn Between recorded menu and transfer it to a friend at another location. when i'm really bored i transfer the hold music.mahaihai wrote:Getting all the phones on the ticketing line to call the group office and then transfer all of them to Goofy's B-Day line.
back when we had Package Express we had way too much fun with staplers. We'd shoot staples at each other, staple each other's shirts, and launch the springs of the staplers to see how far they'd go. We even had something called the "Package stapler draw." To this day if you look in the back room of the Newsstand you'll see a few hundred staples in the screen that covers the fence.

Ha, ok ok you win on the cotton candy glove thing. I'd be like riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, if I saw that one happening. As for TinkerBitch, Nina told me about that one, but I have yet to make a trek over to see it. Heh, sounds like a keeper. And the internet access, it could have just been my eyes, but I thought I saw one of the leads playing some gams already, hee heePolar33 wrote: I can top that. One really slow day on Cotton Candy 1, (that's "Stadium Vending 11" for you new ODV kids and "the one out front of the castle" for everyone else) me and my extra decided to blow up a glove, tie it of, draw on it until it looked like a chicken and then invited anyone who passed by to come pet the chicken. I remember we really freaked out a new hire who was passing by.
Tonight in the balloon room however we got a little bored and ended up making a hybrid Tinkerbell/Stitch balloon. Picture a tinkerbell body with a stitch head...we called it "Experiment 627".
Additionaly, it turns out they are giving internet access to anyone with a portal ID now. I know for sure as soon as my leads find that out there will be no work going on inside the ODV office ever again.

i have to say "guest relations king", the voodoo doll was an idea stolen from me sitting out at info west bored to tears and making dolls out of scrappaper.
other fun activities include churrofights in city hall, having a french spiel for answering the city hall phone. answering guest calls with a strong accent in the phoneroom...making fun of peoples t-shirts in front of them...building map castles, but the coolest thing ever was when we had a little sign on the counter with marie osmonds face for yet another dollsigning and we took michael eiseners picture and cut out the face and glued it over marie's. you will never guess the reaction of the guests when they read about michael signing dolls in the park. we had the most fun ever. one guest, bless his heart ,actually promised to bring a dozen eggs to bombard michael. we comped him a mealvoucher for $25 because he was our hero of the day.

Our friend who made the voodoo doll was at it again!
Apparently, 16 or so maps were spread across the counter and all of them were taped together except for one at the very end. When guests took the map, it was quickly replaced. But when they took two, they took all other 16!
I heard that CM and one other were cutting out sections of the maps, and handing them out to guests. VERY FUNNY to watch reactions, especially when they were looking for space mountain, which was cut out!

My buddy left his job at Universal and fled in exile as a neanderthal to live in the Cayman Islands....He's cut himself off from all technology. He sends his stories in Aramaic on crayon written 3x5 cards sent by pigeon.

today was a good day in city hall, castwise... no boredom here we always came up with things to do. today we implemented the sap tip jar our pencilholder with a friendly note attached to leave a monetary contibution after picking up your sap to go to the "michael eisner charity fund?" it was so hillarious. people took it serious and by the end of the 8 hour shift we counted about $50.00 had we kept the money. og course everyone was advised that we were just joking and took their money back but i tell ya, if ever we would charge for sap's they all would pay to get to the "front of the line"
fun and games...

Keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times.....unless you really dont want to....
Well, there's always the backstage wheelchair roller-coaster. We have this lovely long hallway behind the guest elevator with only one level spot in the middle. Bored CMs often hop in spare wheelchairs and just push off at the top - well except for that one person who pushed the lead uphill (at a run) and let go before the top - lead crashed face first into the wall
Typically we'll just annoy eachother by beeping ppl on the ride phone and not being there when they answer.
Oh, how can I forget flashlight wars! Half of us carry our own flashlights, because, well, DL ones suck, and we use them to communicate over the noise. Some of us are sporting mini mag-lights or other fairly common ones, and some ppl have stingers (super-high power blinding police flashlights). Oh yeah, we like to shine our lights at eachother's eyes, yeah. Good times.
(and you thought we had more fun in attractions, hah!)
Dang, this is an f-ing lame first post here. Sorry!
