Code V's

Ok, I know that this will probably be very disgusting to all who read, but hey, you read the subject first!!

I was working at CA Screamin' earlier in the week when a group of tweens get off of the train and informed me that their friend "threw up a little". I let the CM at dispatch know that we needed to pull the train. As we started telling people not to board the train, I looked back and saw two people that were sitting behind the girl get off of the train COVERED in vomit! One of them was a guy in his 20's, and his mom insisted that we get them a shower. He had long hair, so it was in his hair a lot. His clothes were nasty!

My lead gave a No Strings Attached to the one lady that not as much on her. For this guy, she wrote three or four of them. Luckily, one of our managers, our head manager, came over at that time. He was able to call one of the hotels and get him a room to shower in.

It took two guys from custodial to clean it up. The cleanup job lasted more than an hour!

The saddest part of this whole story is that a cast member from ANOTHER attraction was walking and got splattered by it. It wasn't the first time this particular CM has had code V on him.

It was gross.

Oh god I hate walking underneath that loop backstage when a train goes through! You get NAILED with spit. Cant imagine how bad it would be if there was a code v during it and someone was under it, or prior to that point in the attraction :mickeyba:

Hey though, code v's at screamin are better than code v's at sun wheel! Sun wheel has to go 101 while it is cleaned up, which can take 15, 20 minutes. Then attractions charges custodial for the downtime from what I have heard, lol. Is that still true since custodial is under the direction of attractions upper management now? At screamin' you can still run at reduced capacity.

I'm so glad I haven't had to clean up a soarin' code v. I always wondered what that'd look like

the best are on trians, we just keep going, and leave the bench empty, and hope the smell doesn't trigger anyone's yak reflex. i miss my trians.

Yeah, we just drop a train, and keep running. As far as charging custodial for a down time, I'm not sure. I would think that it is probable because I know we charge facilities for our downtimes when it is a maintenance issue.

Does it ever cause someone else to lose it? Oh man, can you imagine how bad that could get if person after person chucks? eww. :barf:

i'd call the trains 101, and ask permission to pull my train off the line and into the round house, for a good cleaning, then the other one or two trains could keep running at 105.

So I was a Splash one day, a few years ago, and I was in the tower watching the monitors. I noticed a log that had come up to finally approach, just before the show boat scene, and this teenage looking boy yaked over the log into the water. Not to shocking. Then the next log came through the same area and the people were putting there hands in the water and splashing themselves (again nothing new) but this one lady then proceded to splash the vomit water on her face and on her arms. EWWWWWWWWWWWWW, that was just wrong. No one ever told her either. We were all grossed out.

Moral of the story is NEVER EVER under any circumstances touch the water at Splash. There is NASTY stuff in that water.

Ah, if only we could call the WDW RR trains 101. With no leads, we have to call for a manager and hope they will agree to take us 101. For a simple code V (or even a complicated one) they won't do it. Just tell us to call Custodial to meet us with a mop.

Fortunately, we've never had a code V at the back of the train (where our conductors ride). I may not be able to call my train 101, but I can sure enough refuse to move it!

This reminds me of the time Mansion went 101 for MULTIPLE code Vs.
Imagine code Vs all over the mansion from load 2 all the way through to unload.....
