DON'T push your child up to my counter and say "YOU tell my daughter she can't have her gift card because her birthday was yesterday! YOU ruin her birthday; I'm not going to!" One of these days I'm just going to break down and do it. The guest will say it, and I will look at their child and tell them, "Little Susie, you're not getting a gift card today because today is not your birthday.", then look at mom and smile.
DON'T ask me if the economy is the reason that THIS year you only get 4-6 free fastpasses on your birthday, but LAST year people got a fastpass for EVERY ride. Newsflash: Fastpasses don't cost us anything. We're thinking of making T-shirts that say "Dreams are expensive; celebrate today!"

First time poster here. Just discovered this forum last night. Hi!
Not much to add except that people are nuts.
Last time I was at Disneyland was in June of 2008. My friend and I had the unfortunate experience of being stuck behind the shrillest woman in the history of histrionics. She spent the 30 minutes we were in line screeching about how RUDE everyone was for wishing her happy birthday.
Didn't they realize that she was a lady of a certain age and therefore it was rude to allude to her aging?
For shame!
Guess she shouldn't have worn a birthday badge and a shirt stating "Birthday Girl" if she was such a sensitive soul.
My birthday is late July. I think I will be skipping out on the free day this year as I am allergic to large crowds of idiot.

On that note, I hate being stuck around annoying people in line. And its especially bad if its during a boat ride like Pirates, because then you have nowhere to go! You have to suffer and hear them the whole time.

Make sure you have your paperwork, AP and anything else you might need handy and ready. Bras and undies are not suitable places for storing your AP, driver's licences and credit cards, thank you.
It is very important to thank those who serve you.
Plaids rule and SGs drool, It is very important to ego stroke plaids who work so hard to make idiots, oops, guests feel like they own the park and are super special.
