Also, can dogs really "smell" fear?

We've been getting a lot of bees over at Jaws lately. One of my leads has made it his personal mission to hunt them all down...it's kind of annoying since he is ignoring things like rotations to do this. I figure park services will get on it eventually. In the mean time I delivered a wicked cool karate kick to a bee on the load platform the other day. Gave me mad street cred with the shark fans.

Doctor McKey wrote:In general, their has been a bee problem all over the world... The Doctor
Agreed... my MIL has made my 6yo terrified of "bees" because she keeps talking about how "bees" have taken over her chimney. Okay, those "bees" are actually WASPS - not bees at all. I have tried to tell my son this but everytime he sees a honeybee or bumblebee he gets all freaked out. Just one of the many things that makes me want to take up drinking when I'm around her...

And btw, I understand abnormal fears (balloons here) and know that there are serious allergies (dad and brother) but bees are friends not... oh, wrong movie... bees outside around plants/flowers are where they should be doing what they should be doing. (Again - we aren't talking about wasps, yellowjackets, hornets - just bees.)

Hi everyone. I've been here awhile, but I think this might be my first post. I'm just a guest (and I try my darndest not to be an SG). :)

I have to comment on the bee issue. I'm irrationally afraid of them (at least in my opinion), for no real reason (not allergic or anything). The first time I saw It's Tough to Be a Bug at Animal Kingdom, there was a scene with bees flying all around you. I freaked out and almost had to leave the theatre. Now it's fine, cause I expect it, but the first time was not fun. I don't think I enjoyed the rest of the show. :(

Anyway, hi everyone!

Bees are fine with me (although I prefer not to get stung)...it's the freakin' giant Florida spiders that get me all bent out of shape. And the damn huge things are always spinning webs across the horse trails out in Clermont by Lake Louisa. One day I was riding Figment down the trail and had my head turned backwards. When I turned around, a HUGE eight legged sucker was right in front of me! Smack, right onto my sunglasses! I screamed and jumped around in the saddle and generally freaked out. Thankfully Figment just plodded on and ignored my antics, and I finally just grabbed my sunglasses and flung them to the ground. Ugh. I'll take a bee swarm any day.
