My dad essentially does that every time he sets foot in the parks.

Well Zazu.... I have an idea for you..
I once found a audio tour of Disneyland circa 1955 in MP3 format.. would this be of any intrest to you. They cant actually stop you from doing the tours live anyway, they have to prove that the information that you give would be propriatary <sp> in nature as per the Disney handbook for cast employment. On top of that, they would also have to pull off the shelfs all book that supply information about the parks, the history, and the future of the company... also would have to ask Discovery Television to pull all non Disney Owned shows off the air untill Disney buys Discovery Properties ( and yes.. I do see this to happen in the somewhat near future... hint hint... wink wink... )
Anyway... Ill support the cause to have this recitified....

Actually they can. Florida is a 'Right to Work' state, and they can essentially fire anyone, including Zazu, for pretty much no reason.

But if Zazu ever retires...
I really do wonder what they would do about other groups. I have done some stuff for Give Kids The World and plan on acting as a tour guide for families occasionally. Would they object here?

Wow. My wife and I had the privilege of a ZMT back in December of 05. I don't remember most of it, but it was extremely interesting!
Zazu, what if you created a "self-guided" tour? Basically you create a mp3 (and other formats) of the tour, so that people could download the mp3 file, upload it to a player, and while walking in the park, you would be "talking" to them.
"Start at XX bench in Townsquare. Look to the left, and you see the firehouse. (tell story)... pause until you are ready to continue."
"Moving up Main Street, USA toward the castle, on the right side are facades with various names on them....(tell story)"
"....continue walking toward the castle, and continue when you get to ...."

No good deed goes unpunished.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Exactly! Once they have told him, as in his post. Trying to circumvent the cease and desist would give them reason to take action.
Better to follow his planning with the book and/or educational course!

Now you got me worried Zazu.
Sot save the $240 for special dessert seating at Fantasmic some disboard members are offering me money and/or food aka renumeration for spot sitting.
I could get rich doing that but wont because of the possibilities involved. Besides I just will help friends out instead. They will nail you even if you et the popcorn.
I think some Disney gestapo are over zealous party poopers.
