Yeah, he was one of the many "counter culture" type of cartoon figures that came out. He was mostly featured in hot rod cartoon magazines, along with "Ratt Fink" and then he got his own comic. I remember a lot of the themes of the comic were fighting aginst the "establishment" so that people could drag race! (hey, its a comic!)felinefan wrote:That Wonder Wart-Hog has quite a snout on him; he looks like he's part gavial! From what I can see of the artwork, it reminds me of some of those early issues of MAD magazine, or those gruesome trading cards we had as kids.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

The Hog of Steel! In his alter ego of Philbert Desanex, he is just a regular guy in the city of Muthalode. But as Wonder Warthog he's busy keeping the streets of Muthalode safe from the likes of his brother, Paranoid Punkpig... Wonder Warthog was a comic book drawn and written by Gilbert Shelton and Tony Bell (with Joe E. Brown).

Why did you have to bring warthog butts into this conversation?darph nader wrote:They're slow, kinda ugly, but look really mean from the business end.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Churchy needs a nap and is being bad again.
You mentioned it first and said warthog butts first. I hope you do not mind a naked warthog butt. He has a butt that only a rum swilling momma warthog could love.Big Wallaby wrote:Why did you have to bring warthog butts into this conversation?

If you want to mount your warthog butt then try the following image found at the above site. They will mount almost anything you offer them.
