At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

March Is...
Cheerleader Safety Month. I'll let the CMs make up their own jokes. :D:

Isn't cheerleader safety an oxymoron? I mean, just look at the stuff they do.hobie16 wrote:Cheerleader Safety Month. I'll let the CMs make up their own jokes. :D:

I don't think jokes are even needed.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
Re: March Is...
The cheer leaders out here are different here. Security is strong out here at Disneyland. The World of Disney at Down Town Disney here in CA catches more shop lifters than ever.
Big Wallaby,
There are good cheer leaders vs bad cheer leaders. Your neighbor has the smartest cheer leader that does not get into trouble. If we could have her as a role model, that is cool.
My high school several years back was busted for shop lifting and got a hit on the hand and cheer parents got fined $10,000 each. Plus the school was banned from nationals. This year, they did not make it. Lack of funds to get them there.

I've seen the cheerleaders and many wear SO much makeup, they look like Dee Snider (?sp) from the 1980's Twisted Sister videos!
Do the lights at the Hyperion wash you out THAT much?

*Sigh* In my day, cheerleaders wore more, and were pillars of the community. They were polite and professional in attitude, and most were A students. Since we didn't have the internet back in the early 70s, they did their homework the old-fashioned way--by themselves! And some of them were not only heavily involved with school, most either had jobs or volunteered. And in their spare time they planned their college and career goals.
These kids today, I'm waiting for one of them to wash off all that gunk on their faces, only to find there's no face beneath it....
